After the three Gryffindors go detention, which consisted of washing all the Gryffindor bathrooms (which took three whole days after school), the three had decided that would stay out of trouble, for a while, and they did for the rest of term. The week's had past, the whole castle was now decked out in festive decorations and everyone was excited for Christmas holiday. The one problem that Cillian faced was that his father, Seamus Finnigan, wasn't going to be at home for Christmas.

Cillian's joy about the holidays soon left, and he began trying to think of ways to make Christmas at Hogwarts (alone) enjoyable. He was able to stop this, however, after Neil had asked him and Matthew if they would like to come to the Weasley's for Christmas. They quickly said yes. Phoenix was able to invite two friends also. She invited Salem and another friend, Jeana Thomason. They both were able to come, and so the Weasleys were going to have a lo of people over.

Cillian sent an owl to his father telling him that he was going to be at the Weasleys for Chrismas holiday, and Seamus responded with a letter wishing him a Merry Christmas and also sending him a parcel that contained several chocolate frogs and a picture of him waving at the ministry, along with his friend, Dean Thomas. Cillian smiled and packed the picture with him in his bag.

The day they all left, Cillian stuffed his trunk back in the overhead compartment of the Hogwarts Express. In the car with him were Neil, John, Roy, and Matthew. Phoenix, Salem, and a few other friends of theirs were in the car next door. Cillian liked Salem as a friend and Phoenix too, but he valued his time alone with his mates.

The five boys bought all sorts of Christmas sweets from the trolley rolling by and nearly made themselves sick after trying Bertie Botts Every Flavour Bean: Holiday Edition. Cillian managed to get eight good ones, but the rest (which were 23) were bad. He tried a piece that was pine wood bark flavored, and spit it out immediately. Although afterward, he had the pleasant fresh taste of pine in his mouth. Neil had one that he described as a full present. He even saw a small ribbon around it before he plopped it in his mouth.

The train ride was considerably more enjoyable than the first time since he knew more people and they all were in high spirits.

"So, what're your plans for the holidays, Cillian? Neil? John? Matthew?" Roy asked.

"Cillian and Matthew are coming to the Weasleys for the whole holiday," Neil said rather energetically.

"Brilliant!" John replied. "My family and I are going to Greenland to visit my grandfather. He says that in his village there are Christmas decorations everywhere! My little brother is so excited since my mum never really lets us decorate, you know, with how much work it takes. Then you've got to clean everything up, which is just so depressing, because once you put everything down, it's over."

"Yeah. I'm having my whole family over, and we're going to have parties every night until after new years," Roy responded to his own question.

They all talked the whole train ride. They talked about thew upcoming exams, which made them all nervous. They discussed some of the interesting classes they went to; such as Professor Sapphrius's. Cillian exclaimed that she was the best teacher in all of Hogwarts.

"Oh, come off it. We all know that Professor Lovegood's the best," Roy replied.

"You just have a thing for one of the girls in that class, is all," John scoffed.

"I do not!"

"Oh yeah, well how about the Silva girl? You know, the Slytherin?"

Cillian, Matthew, and Neil perked up their heads.

"You mean, Salem Silva?" Matthew mumbled.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah that's the one. Roy, I know she's pretty and all, but put your head on right. She's a Slytherin. They're all creeps and scownd--"
