We had been in Spain for two weeks now and abuela was teaching me everything about behaving like a true Princess. I didn’t want this obligation when it was first presented to me, but now that I’ve met my people and heard that they’re excited to have me as their Princess, I now accepted my fate. I couldn’t escape it anyway, and sulking about it was going to make my life miserable, so I thought I might as well enjoy the start of my new life.
My sisters, Illitia and Ariadne, were here because it was a special day and they were accompanied by none other than two fifths of the Janoskians.
I was ready in my cream colored puffy ball gown and white elbow length gloves, with my hair pulled back into some really expensive and elegant up do. I felt different because I never wore these type of clothes before and I was nervous because today was my coronation ceremony. I was going to officially be Princess Lissette Marie Katerina Medina de la Santisima Trinidad de Navarre y Los Paises Bajos de Holanda.
The maid came to announce my sisters wanted to see me and I beamed with joy. “Let them in.” I told her.
She opened the double doors to reveal my two sisters looking as beautiful as ever in their fancy dresses and high heels. They walked over and both hugged me tightly at the same time. “We’re so proud of you, Liz. Today’s your big day!” Ariadne cooed. She was an amazing older sister and she was even happier now that Beau was accepted by the royal family and would soon have his own coronation to officially become an official Prince of Asturias. He had declined the offer many times, but my sister insisted until she finally made him accept. He said he wasn’t worthy of being a Prince, but we all think he is very worthy. His coronation would take place the same day of their wedding so that he would have the title as soon as possible.
Daniel and Illitia argue all the time and have their ons and offs, but they love each other and decided to seal the deal a few months after my sister turns eighteen.
Daniel, like Beau, was also reluctant to being crowned as a Prince, but Illitia begged and begged for him to accept.
And me?
I’ve decided to lay off love for a while. Things with Kevin were perfect until it all went down the drain when I went to Australia with abuela and my sisters. Gabriella, my bestfriend told me she had seen him with another girl and that he planned to break up with me, that is until he found out I was a Princess. That’s when he decided he didn’t want to let me go.
Then I fell in love with Daniel before I knew my sister was his girlfriend and things with him never happened because he loves her.
“Thank you. I’m so nervous.” I told my sisters, plopping myself on my white couch with a sigh.
Illitia came over and sat next to me, placing her small hand on my lap reassuringly, “Don’t worry. You’ll be fine. We all felt nervous when we were first crowned, but it’s a very nice experience and the party afterwards is killer. The Spanish royal family really knows how to party.” She winked, causing me to giggle. “And you can totally meet my cousin Antares, Prince of the Netherlands. He’s currently single and he’s totally gorgeous, trust me.” She nudged me.
Ariadne watched us both lovingly, “I’m so happy my two little sisters are getting along now. This is a happy moment.”

Daniel and I waited at the entrance of the church for our girlfriends. There was a crowd of screaming girls being held off by security guards and small fencing that enclosed the path the motorcade of limos would take. Even though Ariadne and Illitia insisted, we wanted them to go on the limousines themselves. A non-royal cannot ride on the royal limo motorcade and we were not royals.
I saw Ariadne’s limo approach and she smiled wide when our eyes met, blowing a kiss at me.
Flash.
I saw just about a billion photographers snap a photo of that moment we just shared. Sometimes they can really ruin a cute moment. As a guard opened the door of the convertible vehicle, she stepped out looking like a movie star and walked on the red carpet that led into the large catholic church in a rich neighborhood of Navarre. I walked over to her and let her link arms with me. I looked back at Skip and he smiled, waving me off. He was going to wait for his beloved Princess Illitia.
We walked into the church together and sat in one of the first pews. Skip and Illitia came in a few minutes later and sat next to us. Soon, the church was full of Spanish royals, waiting to witness the moment of Princess Lissette’s coronation.
**
The party started at the castle of Navarre the second the ceremony was over.
Abuela had me going around the entire ballroom, introducing myself to people and getting to know other royals. My hand was tired from all the handshakes and my feet ached from all the walking. Suddenly, grandmother grabbed on my arm and dragged me to the middle of the dance floor.
“I want you to meet someone.” Grandmother said with excitement.
Just then, we heard a voice saying through the speakers. “Now, it is time for Princess Lissette to dance with a Prince. Would every Prince in attendance please come to the dance floor?”
The first one that came to me was one I recognized from seeing him on the television. He was probably the most famous Prince in the world. He was Prince Harry of England. “Hello, love.” He told me in a lovely British accent.
“Hi.” I said nervously. He placed a hand on my waist and the other intertwined with my other hand while I set my free hand on his shoulder and we began to dance.
We did a bit of small talking before he let his true interest show. “Have you seen your sister?”
“Illitia?” I asked, I knew they were good friends.
He crinkled up his nose and shook his head. “No. I’m looking for Ariadne.”
“I think she’s with her boyfriend somewhere.” I told him. I would have never imagined Prince Harry was interested in Ariadne. They didn’t seem like they ever talked at all and their personalities were completely opposite. She was calm and he was a party boy. He sighed when I mentioned her boyfriend Beau and we remained quiet for the rest of our dance.
Soon another Prince, who also appeared to be in his twenties, cut in our dance. “I believe its my turn to dance with her.” He told Harry.
Harry nodded and pulled away from me, planting a kiss on my cheek before walking away. The young Prince and I bowed out of respect and he told me, “You probably don’t know me. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Prince Pierre of Monaco.”
After Pierre and Harry, I danced with Luigi of Italy, Rene of France, Albert of Germany and about a hundred more royal males.
Eventually, I stopped really paying attention to them and I spent my time looking around the ballroom. That is until I spotted the most handsome guy I have ever laid my eyes upon. If I thought Daniel was good looking, this one was good looking times a thousand. He wore very royal attire and was standing next to Ariadne and Illitia’s mom, the Queen of the Netherlands. I secretly hoped and prayed he was a Prince so I could get to meet him.
I watched him as my sisters greeted him warmly and with smiles on their faces.
My heart sped up when Illitia linked arms with him and brought him in my direction. I stopped dancing with the Prince I was dancing with and the young man bowed before me. “Princess Lissette.” He said in his heavy Dutch accent.
“Liz, this is my cousin Antares. He’s Prince to the kingdom of the Netherlands.” Illitia told me with a wink.
