Chapter 28 Ghost

Parking lot, 9:25pm

Daniel is driving with a wide grin on his face while stealing side-way glances at Kathryn who is seated beside him at the shot gun seat.

"You feeling cold Mommy?" he sniggered looking at her blue turtle neck top.

Hinampas ni Kathryn ang braso ni Daniel sa tanong.

"Why'd you left so many marks kasi? Now, I have to wear this." she complains.

"Well, you didn't stopped me." Daniel as a matter of fact said which gained a deadly stare from Kathryn.

He smiled focusing back to the road while Kath was busy checking herself in the mirror, placing some concealer over her neck.

Napansin naman yun ni Daniel "Malaki ba talaga? Patingin nga?" hinihila niya sa may bewang ang kasintahan.

"Huwag na Daddy...focus ka sa road. I'll be fine."

"Ano ba ipapasuot sayo ng wardrobe mamaya?"

"Depende but usually light clothes lang kasi sa bahay lang ang eksena di ba?" she answered.

"Just ask Madonna to fix your hair down. Para natatakpan." he suggested.

"Ikaw kasi eh, kung makapangigil parang wala ng bukas..." Kathryn said and Daniel turned to look at her still wearing a bright smile.

"Hindi mo alam kung gaano ako kasabik sayo Kath. Gigil doesn't even come close to it." he makes his voice husky and slightly biting his lower lip while looking at her.

"Dj, stop it." iwas ni Kathryn.

"What?" he slides his one hand over her thighs caressing it a bit.

Kathryn was thankful she was wearing pants that moment or else something will definitely ignite and they would have to stop the car for a while.

Daniel heard her groan and somewhat grew uncomfortable so he held her hand instead "So, saan mo gusto kumain mamaya?" pag iiba niya ng usapan.

"Mamaya?"

"Yeah. Mag dine out na lang tayo to celebrate my birthday. Papasundo ko mamaya si JA sa bahay pag malapit na tayo mag pack up. Sa ibang araw na lang tayo mag celebrate with the rest." he tells her.

"Ha? Ah eh, we can stay at home na lang. I'll cook for us." Kathryn said.

"Eh pagod ka na nun Mommy. Whole day taping tapos paguwi mag luluto ka pa."

"Sige na, I want to make it special for you. Sa bahay na lang para mas private."

"Hmmm...ayaw ko masyado kang pagod Mommy, I need you energized for later." he said giving her a knowing look and a wink.

"Daddy!"

He pouts "Birthday ko kaya. Di pwede?"

"Mahirap kasi eh, did you know we left the walk in closet in a total disaster. Tapos Lory went inside she saw everything. Di ko alam ang sasabihin ko kanina. Napagbintangan ko tuloy si Joaquin Angelo." she covered her face now red in color.

"We can stay sa condo..." he wriggled his brows.

"And JA?"

"May room naman siya doon...we can stay sa room ko. Problem solved." Daniel shrugged na parang proud na proud sa naisip niyang paraan. "So, sa condo tayo uuwi mamaya?" he asked looking at her. Kitang kita na nageexpect si Daniel na sasama siya.

Kathryn organized a surprise birthday dinner for him after their taping. She invited everyone close to Daniel, even his family. Lingid sa kaalaman ni Daniel nagkausap na sa telepono si Kathryn at Karla isang nung isang araw para sa surprise na gagawin ni Kath.
