Chapter 047 Ironic

An adrenaline rush is a sudden increase in the secretion of adrenaline from the adrenal glands. Which prepares your body for a fight-or-flight reaction in threatening situations or environment.

Daniel isn't a fan of these things, he doesn't enjoy roller coaster rides and refuses to go on heights. He simply don't find these adventures appealing.

But having to see Kathryn helpless on the ground brought him the extreme of the extremes of adrenaline rush.

He was able to carry her in one lift and in  seconds he was already near the parking lot. Daniel really was running so fast, not feeling any of Kathryn's weight.

She felt like feather or a bubble, fragile and light. The only thing that Daniel felt heavy that very moment was his heart, struggling to fight.

"Please Kath, laban ka. Lumaban kayo please." his thoughts as he was running for her safety.

"Mang Mar..." tawag ni Daniel sa driver ni Kathryn "...yung kotse!" utos niya sabay mabilis na tinatakbo si Kathryn papunta sa kotse, hinanap ng kanyang mga mata ang sasakyan ni Kathryn na dala.

May iilan pang mga tao na naroon at napapalingon sa kanila. There were gasps and shock as reactions but Daniel couldn't hear any, couldn't see any. He was only hearing Kathryn's whimpers and cries out of pain, he could only see her face pale and full of cold sweat and tears, and blood kept on soaking her white shorts.

Anybody who could see Daniel running with Kathryn half unconscious in his arms would think it's straight from a movie's scene. But it wasn't, it wasn't a scene to deliver but a danger to escape.

Daniel didn't have the time to mind those people who went to ask him what happened. Wala siyang pinansin ni isa sa kanila. Dire-diretso lang ang takbo niya, hindi alintana ang bigat o ang pagod. Sa mga oras na iyon halos hindi nararamdaman ni Daniel ang sahig na nilalakaran niya. Lutang siya, wala sa sariling hinahanap ang kotse na dapat ay sakyan nila.

Tumakbo si Mar papunta sa pinagparkingan niya. Nagsisi siya ngayon kung bakit doon niya naisipang pumarada dahil may kalayuan pa ito. Inunahan na sana niya si Daniel sa van ng marinig ang boses ng kaibigan.

"Dj! Bro!" napalingon si Daniel sa boses. "Dito na kayo sa kotse ko para mabilis!" si Patrick iyon, bumalik din siya ng makasalubong ang mabilis na kotse ni Daniel kanina.

Kanina habang paalis na siya mula sa location, nagtaka ang kaibigan kung bakit pabalik si Daniel gayong one way ang daan na iyon. He sensed emergency so he didn't have to think twice before following after him. Knowing Kathryn was left in the set and he saw Emil in the parking earlier. Bumalik rin siya sa set at mabuti na lamang at bumalik siya.

Mabilis na binuksan ni Patrick ang backseat ng kotse niya.

Daniel didn't have to think or decide. He just did what was vital at that moment. And that is to save Kathryn and the life in her womb. He carefully placed Kathryn in the back seat then he ran to the driver's seat taking the car keys from Patrick. His hands were unstable, shaking uncontrollably.

Patrick pitied him. He was no where near okay to drive. Pero hindi niya rin kabisado ang lugar. Sa isang banda hindi niya rin pwedeng hayaan ang kaibigan na magmaneho pa.

"Dj, ako na!" prisinta ni Mar. "Pumasok ka na ron sa loob, total taga dito ako alam ko saan may malapit na ospital. Sumakay ka na." sabi nito kay Daniel na halatang wala sa kanyang sarili.
