'Emily's POV-.

While I lye in bed that night, I recalled the interview I had been in on the Xtra Factor. Caroline asked me about how I had never been in love before. It was kind of embarrassing, but that's what you have to expect with shows like these, right?

The thing that kind of stuck out in my mind was that she asked the same thing to Nicky as well. It seemed that we had a lot in common, but yet we were also different.

He liked baked beans, I hated them.

He likes the colour blue, I like the colour blue.

I love dancing, he hates it.

It was surprising how much you could learn about someone in such a short space of time. It was refreshing. He wasn't like any of the boys back at home - right dicks at that. He was sweet and cool, but with a hidden cheeky side too. It surprised me how much I ended up thinking about it. I'd only known him for a week, I was being silly and stupid to even exhume I had any sort of feelings for him! We're both sixteen for christ's sake, and it's not as if he'd be interested in me anyway. Ugh, what was I saying? I DO NOT LIKE HIM. He's just a NEW friend, and you're supposed to think about new friends.

The next day rolled on, me being extra tired. I didn't get much sleep, my phone and thoughts being much more interesting. Being called to the studio at 8 in the morning isn't what I was made for. I couldn't be bothered with getting dressed properly, me just putting on new clean underwear, getting back into my pyjamas and my onesie on top. I had taken a shower last night as soon as I had gotten in, so I could avoid the rush I knew there would be this morning. Aren't I clever? It was a kermit the frog onesie, a cute Primark product I couldn't resist. Makeup wasn't with any bother either, me just washing my face and cleaning my teeth. My tummy rumbled but I ignored it, I didn't have time for breakfast. I grabbed a Nutrigrain bar on the way out, along with my bag. In there just contained my phone, it's charger, my iPod, headphones, tablets and a book. That always came in handy, especially as you never know how long you're going to be in make up or hair for.

As we rolled up to the Arena, I started to feel sick. I unwrapped the bar, taking a bite before putting it back in my bag. Everyone else was arriving, looking just as tired as me. We all made our way through backstage, onto the actual stage.

"Did someone feel like not getting dressed today?" I shrugged in reply to Sam, as him, Luke, Nicholas and the boys from Kingsland Road all laughing.

"I literally woke up about half an hour ago, and it's so comfy."

"Kermit the frog, eh?"

"He's sexy, ok? Leave him and me alone." Everyone else was sat on the stage. But me, nope. Full on lying down, spread out. If it wasn't from the noise, I would be out like a light. A couple minutes after, we were all given lyric sheets to the song we would be performing together tonight. It was marked and annotated so it showed who was singing each bit. We were singing Get Lucky. It was an ok song, more like a club song if you asked me. I had a bit at the beginning with Hannah and Tamera. Rough Copy started, then Kingsland Rd, then us, then the boys, etc. It looks like they had done it so every category came on together, and sang bits at the same time.

Me and the girls separated ourselves from everyone else, moving along the stage so we were isolated from everyone else. We were all familiar with the song, so we knew what rhythm to sing in. We practised our bits over and over, finally pleased that we had learnt them enough. Our bored and fun sides had struck, and we started singing random songs. We made it into a game. Someone would start singing a song, and the other plays had to guess the name of the song and artist as quick as they could. Whoever got it quickest, earned a point.

It was my turn to pick a song, and I decided on picking a difficult one. There was a lot of long notes, harmonising and fast lyrics in it, but I found that fun. My friends and family said I was extra talented when it came to this artists songs. I'd always ignored them though.

I started to sing, and it was fun to watch the girls get stressed out and try to guess. By now everyone had gathered around. It took them so long, I ended up singing the whole song. That was pretty bad for them, as all the other times they gotten it fast.

"I wish I could sing like that!" Shelly remarked, making everyone laugh. I said a thanks, turning back to the girls. Tamera was nearly banging her head on the floor.

"Any guesses anyone?"

"I'VE HEARD IT BUT I CAN'T THINK OF IT!" Hannah remarked. I turned to everyone else, no one having a clue either.

"OOH! Isn't it by Ariana Grande?" I nodded my head in reply to CeCe - from Miss Dynamix. Some of the other acts had left, but leaving some of us. 2/3rds of Miss Dynamix, Luke, Nicholas, Hannah and Rough Copy. It was nice to just chill out. We had another contestant meeting after the break for lunch to sort out the choreography and to run through it a couple times.

Miss Dynamix left, along with Hannah and Rough copy afterwards. Luke looked at Nicholas then me, then standing up and remarking he needed the toilet. Great to know, right? It was just me and Nicholas alone. I was laying down, my elbows propping my up. He was doing the same.

"I like your onesie, a bit too much. I might have to get myself one. Do they come in pink?" I literally burst into laughter. He did too. We were sat kind of close, but not too close. We literally just ended up just telling each other really cheesy and corny jokes, trying to make the other one laugh.

"What do you call an alligator in a vest?" I sighed.

"I don't know, what do you?" I played along.

"An inVEST-igator!" I stared at his face for a couple seconds, then cracking up. Literally we'd been laughing for so long now, anything was funny.

"Ok, I'll give you that one." I said, lifting my arm and high fiving him. I wiped my eyes, clearing the tears of laughter away. He did the same, smiling at me. I smiled back. That was a blast.
