"Thank you." I thanked the taxi driver, handing him over the money. I pulled out my small suitcase from the boot, shutting it and waving goodbye. I looked up at the house from the end of the driveway, breathing out. A puff of smoke like air blew out of my mouth, it disappearing quickly. It was a cold December day, in the late evening; the grass and windows built up with frost still. I walked down the brick way, my case dragging behind. I stopped adruptly at the door, leaning forward to press the doorbell and then stepping back. I waited a couple seconds. The door opened to a wide grinning Shelly. "Hi Darling!" I stepped inside.

"Hi Shelly, how are you?"

"I'm good thanks hun. Hannah, Tamera, someone is here!" I could hear as the footsteps above my head moved along towards the top of the stairs. As they did, I gave them a quick wave.

"Did ya miss me?" I asked cheekily. The squeeled, running down the stairs. We had a group hug, all laughing loudly.

"Why are you so late?" Hannah asked, taking my coat for me and putting it on the rack.

"I took the first train I could after school. I wanted to go back to my normal life, you know?" They nodded. I felt spoilt and popular - like a plastic in Mean Girls. As we walked up the stairs and down the landing, they were constantly asking me questions. Were their any hot boys at my Sixthform, did I have any interest in them, etc. To be honest, it had only been around a month since I left. Even though a lot could happen in a month, it hadn't.

The boys door was wide open, and they were focusing on a fifa game they were playing. I stood in the doorway, leaning on the frame. The girls stood behind me.

"Guess who's back? Back again? Em is back" The girls chorused.

"Tell a friend!" I finished, giggling. That had got their attention. They cheered, putting their controllers down and coming towards me. I first hugged Sam, then Nicky, then Luke. When Nicky pulled back, there was a pink tint on his cheeks. I saw Sam playfully punch Nickys arm, but I pretended not to see it.

"You were meant to be here a couple hours ago, where were you?" Luke asked. I sighed, repeating about how 'some of us had school'.

"You're back in school?" Sam questioned, raising his eyebrow.

"Yep. Wanted to go back to normal. Everythings good though. My friends and family are all supportive, and my brother is now engaged." They all cheered, hugging me again. Back in October when my brothers had come to visit me, after the show I told everyone about the proposal. I was too excited to keep it in, I loved weddings. I hadn't been to many, but this one was for my Brother! "I'm going to go put this away, see ya later." I picked up the suitcase still waiting on the landing,  dragging it along to our room. "Our" room wasn't really what to call it anymore. All the decorations we had were taken down when we all left, leaving it empty and plain. The duvet covers were a normal blue colour, nothing like our old own funky neon colour patterned ones.

"I don't like it. Doesn't feel like our room anymore." I groaned in agreement to Tamera, dumping my suitcase on the floor. I was only here until Monday, there was no point getting everything out.

"I'm starving." I groaned. I had missed dinner being on the train, and hadn't had anything since lunch time. I had gotten used to eating small amounts on the show, but going home, I lost that technique. It wasn't one I was proud of.

"The cooks are still here. Why don't you go and ask them quick?" I ran downstairs, jumping down the last step and into the kitchen. They were just clearing up the plates from the table.

"Hi Barbara, Hi Jean, Hi Claire." They all said hello, making small conversation.

"You hungry poppet? I heard you just arrived. Long journey was it?" I nodded, sinking down in the island chair. "Okay, well if you help Jean with the washing up, we'll cook you something, ok?" I agreed, filling up the washing up bowl with warm water. I added fairy liquid, bubbles springing. I was washing, Jean was drying. It didn't take too long, 20 minutes at the maximum. My hands had turned all wrinkly anc cold. As I sat down again, a plate of pizza and chips was set infront of me. A glass of water was too.

"Thank you." I smiled. I dug in, eating the pizza. It warmed me up, the heat of the food moving to my body.

"Enjoying yourself?" I turned around to see Nicky walking into the room. I nodded, taking another bite of the Hawaiin pizza. "I just wanted to ask you - urhm - could I maybe talk to you later?" I held my finger up to him, finishing chewing my food before responding.

"Yeah sure, why not now though?" He shrugged, filling up his glass with water from the fridge.

"Everyones around." I nodded, offering him some chips. "No thanks, I ate not too long ago." He smiled, walking out of the kitchen again.

"That was weird." I muttered under my breath, only quiet enough for me to hear. Being back in this house was strange.
