We stare at the tutelage screens with the thrist for education.
Though we sit close beside our parents,
A wall has already formed.
Role models are no longer towards older relations.
Basic social skills and communication are lacked to the brim.
Oh, but don't blame the screens.
But can't blame the quiet parent,
For the wall is a comforter for the awkward.
We are the children who learnt this way.
Sure we were given love, but we learnt life differently.
We learnt how to smile like cartoon characters.
We learnt how to exaggerate our speech like "the real cool kids"
We learnt to be enthusiastic about every detail of our lives.
We learnt to pick out who was the good guy and the bad guy.
Sure, we now fear every person,
Doubt if we even had a conversation with our parents when we were younger,
And have become the most unusual individuals,
But we get by.
You are wrong to think this is about media manipulation.
It's not about the over rule of technology either.
Don't even think this is about the false representation of reality.
Just think this as a reminder manual to build a confident parent.
Not to shun the scared ones, but to improve the new ones.
