Mummy has a very special vase.
It's short and made of polished dirt,
Coloured with acrylic and ink splotches, and
Holds wooden stem flowers with hairy petals.
These are usually upside down in the vase.
Yeah, I thought that was odd too.
Child: "Why are the flowers upside down? No one can smell them like that."
Mummy: "Well these flowers allow you to see the fragrance on paper, rather than smell them."
Unlike the other vases placed in the expensive cupboard,
This vase stands alone on the widow seal.
Yeah, I thought that was odd too.
Child: Why would you place such a beautiful vase, which helps to see the flowers fragrance, so far away from the lovely vases?
Mummy: "I use this vase every day to create a different visual fragrance each day. Those vases I use on special occasions -which rarely come about-. Also, those vases don't show any scents. They only provide the smell."
