Aloha!
“Good evening folks, this is your cap’t Paul speaking. Please be seated as Flight Paul Airlines makes its way to the landing strip. We have arrived in Hawaii. Honolulu to be exact. May you guys enjoy your time while on vacation!”
Paul navigated the plane towards the landing strip and decedent downwards. The plane's impact was light as it touched down on the runway. He coasted it to a stop in front of ladies in grass skirts waiting for the Team to exit the plane.
The ladies all greeted the team with fresh flower lei as each one exit off the plane and grabbed their luggage.
A man in a tux, greeted the team with a sign. As Robin and the gang gathered, he opened a black stretch limo door and the team headed in.
The window rolled down and the man in the tux informed them that he was to take them to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort where they are to stay. With that Robin thanked the drivers and settled next to Starfire. The couples all chatted about what they would like to do and how exciting this all was to them.
“Man I cannot wait to plant my feet in those beautiful beach sands!” Cyborg exclaimed.
“I cannot wait to swim in those warm waters” Bee answered back.
“I just wanna take a nap.” Winked Robin towards Starfire who blushed.
“Whatcha wanna do mama?” Asked Beast Boy towards Raven.
She smiled as many thoughts ran through her mind. She has never been someplace tropical, so all the sites and sounds were overwhelming her senses.
“I need to meditate. I'm sorry.” she whispered.
“I got’s you mama! All this excitement is overtaking you. We'll settle in our room and relax. Hell we ARE here for two weeks.” He smiled down at her.
The team arrived at this large white building with smaller rooms with balconies lined sitting on a lush beach with a mixed colors of blues, purples, pinks and oranges in the sunsetting sky in the background. A white moon gleaming overtop the darken waters as the waves crashes quietly on the shores. The friends filed out of the limo to the walkway up to the front end of the hotel. Whisking , Cy he led the door for the group to enter. Robin led them to the receptionist who was sitting at a bar style area with a larger than life aquarium behind her. She was clicking away on the computer when Robin walked up to her post.
“Aloha and welcome! My name is Mele, I am the head receptionist here at the Hilton Hotel, may I have you?” a pleasant smile came across her face as she focused on the group. Dressed in a slender tailored suite, Mele had long black hair, sun kissed skin, crimson lipstick lips, bright white teeth and black warming eyes.
“Um.. Yes. My name is Robin and my friends and I are here for vacation. We would like to check into our rooms.”
“Ah yes the Titans. We have been expecting you. How was your flight in?” Mele asked as she clicked away for the room numbers for the team.
“It was nice. Quiet. Captain Paul was pretty cool.” Cyborg answered.
“You must be Cyborg and girlfriend Bumblebee.” She smiled at the first couple.
“Yes ma'am.” Bee took a smiling glance at Cy.
“Hmm then Robin, where is your companion Starfire?”
“I am the here!” Came the bubbly voice of the Tamaranean.
“Then that means Beast Boy and Raven are?”
“We are here, sorry, Raven was eyeballing the sites of this grand hotel.” Gar answered Mele as Raven stood in awe as she took in the palace looking hotel.
Letting out a small chuckle, Mele gave the couples each a set of keys, a map and directions to their rooms.
“All in the same floor, each has a balcony with a view. We love you guys even over here in the tropicals. We welcome you to Hawaii and hopes you enjoy your stay here at the Hilton.” Mele waved them to the bellhop who had gathered their luggage and loaded it in a cart, waiting patiently for them to be excused to follow him to their rooms.
“I'm the curious. What does your name?”
“Starfire my name means poem.”
“Oh. It is the lovely!”
The group followed the bellhop, whose name was Alika.
He made small talk of the places to site see here on the Island as Raven listened on. He went on about how he would love to visit inland of the States, as they exited the elevator and heading towards the end of the plush carpet hallway. Doors on both sides with number plates, Alika stopped at the first one on the list.
“Room 134.” Cy and Bee grabbed their bags and headed into the spacious room.
The group continued down to the next door.
“Room 136”
Beast Boy and Raven headed into that one.
The last couple went with Alika to room 138 and Robin handed him a grand tip of $100 bucks.
Alika, whose name meant defender since Star had to ask, thanked them kindly and also welcomed them to Hawaii and to the hotel. As he turned to head back towards the elevator, Star asked another question about how he looked like Mele. Laughing he answered her with saying that Mele is his mother which surprised even Robin.
“I thought you two were brother and sister!”
“Everyone thinks that. She had me young.”
And with that he turned and headed into the elevator.
The rooms were spacious. Two large queen size beds sat on the right side of the room. A large bathroom with toilet, sink and jacuzzi in beige colors sat off to the left after the small hallway coming into room. A flat screen TV was mounted to the wall above a stand which housed a dvd player and a Sega game console.
“Old school! I like it.” Beast Boy said checking out the rest of the room.
Meanwhile Raven was out on the balcony taking in the darken sky which still had bits of color left as the sun was just a sliver on the waterfront. She took in a deep breath.
Beast Boy came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Not saying a word, he nuzzled his head to hers and watched what she was seeing.
Dolphins jumped in and out of the water and a large whale tale could be seen. Out further was a light from a lighthouse and a fishing boat. Something was happening. Something good he felt. He sensed her happiness. Taking her hand, he sat on the chair on the balcony and lightly tugged on her to follow his lead. She sat on his lap, legs over his right side, her right arm around his head, left arm to her lap. He held on to her as if she would vanish from his site.
He whispered into her hair
“I'm never letting go my demoness. I would die to keep you right by my side.”
“If you were to die, then what does that leave me? Pain? Hurt? I would never want to be lost Garfield. I am here with you. I am right where I want to be and always had wanted to be. Here. With you. I am home in your arms.”
They shared a passionate kiss as the sun set and the moon full. The silver and white shards glistening over the water.
It felt right, but not the perfect time to make his proposal. Not yet. The vacation is still too young.
