Artemis vs Gym Leader Dante!



The battle was about to begin. Dante and I stared at each other, honestly I was afraid to face Dante. I only brought Altaria, Wailmer and Manetric.

Even if we are close friends, this time I won't hold back!

Liza: The battle consist of beating each others Pokémon, the trainer that defeats all the Pokémon from the opponent's side wins the match.

Dante: Kingdra I choose you!

Me: Warlord come out!

Dante: Really Wailord? It's water type, you know?

Me: Of course I know!

Wailord knows Blizzard, I can do it five times, but Wailord is slow at dodging. Plus, I don't know how many Pokémon Dante has.

Tate and Liza: Let the battle begin!

Dante: Kindra use Twister!

Me: What?

I saw my Wailord levitating slowly in the air, luckily his weight won't allow him to go any higher.

Me: Wailord use blizzard!

In mid air, Wailord uses blizzard. Kingdra's twister started to froze and both of our Pokémon got frozen.

Dante: Thanks alot Arty, look what you did!

Me: Now we will play the waiting game.

The frozen twister started to crumble through Wailord's area. It broke free, but the rest of the ice that was on top started to fall including Kindra. It tried to stood up, but it fainted.

Tate: Kindra faints, Wailord defeats Dante's first Pokémon.

So all this time Dante had more Pokémon than his usual party. I wonder what Pokémon he'll choose next. My Wailord it's kinda weak and I didn't bring my hyper potions or revives that are at the hotel reception.

Me: Common Dante, I don't have all day!

Dante: Wait, I know you want to lose quickly, but I'm deciding which I'm going to choose next.

Me: Hurry up!

Dante: Fine! Salamance come out!

At last, a Pokémon that I already knew from his usual party.

Me: Wailord use Surf!

Dante: Dodge it and Fly!

Wailord creates waves and as soon it was about to hit Salamance, it flew off and then flies directly at Wailord. It was a strong hit that turn my Wailord upside down that the remaining water from surf splashed at both of us.

Me: Well this is kinda refreshing...

Dante: Common Arty, don't be sarcastic, enjoy the battle while you can.

Okay now his attitude kinda pissed me off.

Wailord is still trying to turn around, but it's stuck from it's own weight. I'm so screw.

Dante: Hahaha! Your Wailord can't turn around! This actually turns into my advantage!

I couldn't help to growl by this. I need to think and fast!

Dante: Salamance use Crunch!

Salamance still on the air flies to Wailord with his mouth open.

Me: Wailord use Blizzard!

Dante: Fly back!

Salamance stop while Wailord started to freeze the stage, mostly since it already has water. Maybe it's still stuck, but now it can slip around upside down to dodge.
