The Champion's Chamber

Now it's the time to head where my dream to be the best, at least in the Hoenn Region, may come true... Ever Grande City! A place where many lost and few turn victorious. I defeated the former champion minutes ago, that means I can defeat the true champion in no sweat... Right? I'm really nervous about this.

I've been in front of the Cave of Origins since the battle ended. I can see the whole city from here. I noticed a Skarmory flying near the city, closing up to me. I already know who is riding the Skarmory.

Steven: I know I'll find you here.

Me: That's because you saw me from afar.

He lands on the edge and sits down. He puts Skarmory back to it's pokéball.

Steven: Yeah, you're right. Did you defeat Wallace?

Me: Yes, really easy battle. My Manectric was way overleved.

Steven: I bet, but why are you all the way up here? Are you nervous?

Me: Well...

Steven: Don't tell me my girlfriend is afraid on challenging the true champion?

I look at him in surprise, I can tell that my face is red because of the burning feeling on there. Steven laughed a little and stared at me.

Steven: What? Did the Skitty cut your tongue?

Me: It's just that, you called me as your girlfriend... And, we never make it official.

I looked away happily, crossing my arms nervously. I look back at him and he's blushing too.

Steven: I... see.

He knels down and grabs one of my hands. I got really nervous.

Steven: My beautiful Artemis, you are my new reason of living. Without you, I would have been hard as steel. Since the day we first met, I got a feeling that you will be a great meaning around the world and also a meaning to me. Artemis, will you be my girlfriend?

His words cut my tongue, it felt like I was in a romantic movie. Somebody should pinch me now or I'm going to faint. I feel like I'm going to pass out.

Steven: My love, are you alright?

My body felt completely numb, I was about to fall till Steven catches me. I can't stop smiling.

Steven: Artemis, if you...

Me: I accept, I will become Steven Stone's girlfriend.

Oh my Arceus! It sounded so cool! I'm fan girling now.

I started to jump and hug him with excitement.

Steven: I don't know, Artemis Stone.

Me: Wait, what?!

Steven: Nothing just thinking out loud hehe...

Me: Ok then.

"Oh I heard it loud and clear", I thought.

Steven: Well my Artemis, when are you planning to go to Victory Road?

Me: I have to pack some stuff before I go and kill myself.

Steven: It's not deadly, only people disappeared and...

Suddenly Dante ran to our location.

Dante: Steven you have to go, Artemis, you should be heading to Victory Road now.

Me: Yeah, I want to go before night time.

Steven summons his Skarmory, gets on it, he looks at me with a proud smile and flies off. I have to admit, I was really happy to see him and that he motivated me to pursue my dreams, I guess I have to go now to Victory Road before night time. I summoned my Skarmory and flew to Ever Grande City.

I already know that I have my Pokemon are full up and healed. I want to prevent to heal my team, I want to prove that my team is strong enough. When I reached the city and register myself with some guy checking if I had my eightbadges, I made my way inside. First, I battled with Sidney, the dark type trainer. He was strong, but Blaziken, and Manectric get the job done, but Sableye got really hurt. Second was Phoebe, the Ghost Type trainer. Trust me, Sableye did all the work. Third, the Ice type master Glacia, which I used Skarmory with Steel Wing to defeat most of her Pokémon and later used Blaziken with fire and fighting moves. Last but not least was Drake, the dragon master and the last of the Elite Four. His Dragon Type Pokemon we're so strong that it faint my Sableye, but Wailord and Altaria finished the battle.

I am tired, one of my six Pokémon fainted. I already passed the last room and I see the stairs for reaching the champion's room, so I just take my breath and run for it.

It's now or never!
