Thalianca 7th Grade- Bianca Sucks at Skating

Thalianca 7th grade- Bianca Sucks at Skating.

"W-woah!" Bianca held on close to the ledge and tried to control her wobbling knees. "I'm going to die," she mumbled under her breath. "I'm going to die I'm going to die."

Thalia skated up next to Bianca, spraying her dark jacket with flecks of snow. She took one look at Bianca, grasping at the edge of the rim of the rink for dear life, before throwing her head back laughing.

"When you said you didn't know how to skate, I didn't imagine you'd be this bad!" She grabbed the edge as well to control herself.

"Shut up," Bianca said, though she didn't really mean it. Bianca had had a crush on Thalia ever since fourth grade. So when Thalia had invited her to go ice skating at the local rink together, Bianca had practically jumped for joy. This was almost going to be like a date. It was going to go perfectly.

Except for the fact that Bianca couldn't skate.

But whatever, it couldn't be that hard, right?

Wrong.

The song that was blasting throughout the rink changed. Thalia made a face.

"I hate this song," she announced, then broke out into a grin. "Wanna dance?"

Bianca's heart fluttered as Thalia took her hand and led her away from the stream of people skating. She felt her knees shake, partially from nervousness, and partially from absolutely sucking at ice skating.

"C'mon, you can do it!" Thalia encouraged.

"I don't think I ca- DON'T YOU DARE SPIN ME!" She shrieked as Thalia started to spin her. Thalia continued to spin her and Bianca found herself succumbing to gravity.

"Ahh!" She called out as she fell towards Thalia. Thalia tried to catch her, but she slipped on her skate laces and ended up on the ground as well with Bianca on top of her.

"S-sorry!" apologized Bianca, trying to keep her blush at bay, but Thalia didn't seem to care. In fact, she was actually howling with laughter.

"Y-you should've... Seen your face... When you fell," she said in between chuckles. Bianca smiled weakly and admired the way Thalia's eyes were crinkling.

"Okay," Thalia sobered up, "let's try this again."

And once more, she grabbed Bianca's hand to pull her up.
