Third Person POV
The next few weeks remained the same. Rest up, then relocate. There seemed to be nowhere near by that was safe enough to settle down at. There was constant fear inside Daryl and Beth, due to recent events. Daryl would feel nauseous at the thought of losing Beth again, but it terrified him the most to think that maybe she'd be taken away for ever and never be found. Over these few weeks, Daryl was extremely protective and took care of Beth to provide her the best feeling of safety as possible. Beth was craving Daryl's presence, and couldn't get enough. There was no way you could separate the two of them, their eyes were always locked and heart sewn together.
Maggie was happy for her sister and her new found love, but it was only Maggie who could see that Beth was in love. Beth was to caught up in the feeling of it to acknowledge it, mostly because it was so consuming and fulfilling. Beth and Daryl were most definitely in love, and there was nothing anybody could do to stop it. Rick couldn't handle the love radiating of the couple, it caused him to feel nostalgia and miss his wife.
"Daryl?" Beth's gentle voice flooded through the small room.
"Yes?" Daryl called back to his love and entered the room.
"What are you doing up? It's not your shift," Beth asked, concern threaded into her voice.
"Um," Daryl shifted uncomfortably from where he was standing and cleared his throat.
"What's going on?" This time Beth sat up from her comfortable position in the bed to get a better view of him.
"Nothing, I'm fine," Daryl scratched the back of his neck.
"Bullshit, I can tell something is up. Come on Daryl, get back in bed,"
Reluctantly he made his way back next to Beth and she held him close.
"I can' t sleep, I've been having these nightmares lately," Daryl whispered.
"Do you want to talk about them?" Beth's brows furrowed.
"It always ends with you being taken away from me somehow, and then you get killed. I can't handle it, it hurts too much, Beth," Daryl's voice shook just slightly but not enough to indicate his true fear.
"Babe, that's not gonna happen again. Not as long as I have you. I know you will keep me safe,"
"I know Beth, I just... I need you," Daryl's voice remained in a whisper.
"I need you too, and I trust you to not let anything bad happen to me," Beth put her hand to Daryl's face and stroked it.
"I love you Beth," Daryl said and looked into her eyes with such desire that set him on fire.
"I love you too, Daryl,"
Their hearts imploded with such fiery love that they couldn't ignore, so Daryl took Beth's face in his hands and brought her lips to his own and passionately kissed her. Beth's hands wandered to Daryl's shirt and slithered her hand up it to feel his chest muscles. Everything was on fire.
