"I know that you are a witch," he said.
I stood there frozen with shock. A million thoughts and feelings raised through my head. But the main thought was. How can he know?
"What are you talking about? That's crazy, there is no such thing as witches," I lied.
"Please don't lie, I know you are a witch," he repeated and moved closer to me but I held my ground. The moon is rising quickly.
"Bu-but how?" I stuttered.
"Because I was the one ordered to turn you to the other side or kill you," he said sadly. Now his conversation in the woods makes sense.
"So all of it is a lie, me meeting you in Tim Hortons, you being in my class, everything," I whispered.
"You have to understand at first I was only doing what I was ordered to. But then when you came over to my house I got to know you, I-I think I love you," he said hoping I would understand.
"It's like the story, the demon who's only job was to turn the witch evil, but fell in love with her instead," I murmured. It all makes sense now. He nodded sadly. We are now nose lengths apart. I've been to shocked to do anything about it.
Then he leaned in and before I could do anything he kissed me. A electric shock went through me but I ignored it and pushed him away. He stumbled backwards, a look of hurt on his face.
I heard ruseling of bushes behind me and Night came running out."All you alright?" He asked me worried. Then he spotted Luke and growled. "What's your problem!"
"He's a demon Night," I said filling him in. Night's eyes darkened and they turned to slits. Understanding but at the same time confusion filled Luke's eyes.
"So the little familiar is here to save the day. Never have I seen one as a human before though. I guess it's easier to do stuff with your little witch if you catch my drift," Luke snarled at him, he sounds heart broken. Night moved closer go me.
"Why did you take her?" Night asked grinding his teeth.
Night, the full moon I said to Night.
"Nope," he said.
"Answer why did you take her before I rip your veins out of your throat," Night snarled at him.
"Testy, testy. Like you could but I'm not going to stick around to find out, so till next time," he said then he looked at me with hurt in his eyes. "Selene, do me a favor and think about what I said." Then he disappeared into thin air.
"What was that about?" Night asked me.
"I don't know. He said that he knows that I'm a witch," I said, not wanting to tell him all of the truth.
"Thats all he told you?" He pressed.
"Yes," I lied.
"I know on thing though, he's a demon and we have to watch our backs," he said. I nodded. The tingles started in my hands again and I looked down. The black veins are traveling up my hands again and I felt my eyes flicker to slits. I looked up the full moon has reached its highest peak.
"Night the transformation is starting," I said to him. He nodded.
"Don't fight it, you are safe here," he said. I nodded. The tingling feeling filled my entire body. And it hurts! Just like last time except worse. White hair sprang from my skin underneath my clothes, ripping them. I screamed as my bones cracking and my bones rubbed up against each other as my body shifted. I blacked out.
