"See you," I said to Night.
"Okay," he said. I walked upstairs with my bag over my shoulder which has the story in it. Mom is in the kitchen making eggs, it's only ten in the morning so she won't be going to work for a hour.
"Morning, you want some eggs?" She asked.
"No thanks, I'm going to a friend's house to work on a school project," I said.
"Does this friend happen to be a boy?" She asked with a smile.
"Yes," I said slowly. She squealed loudly and ran over to me.
"What's his name? Is he hot? Do you like him?" She asked her eyes bright with exitment.
"Mom! I'm not twelve years old," I groaned. I can tell that Night is listening in.
"Okay, okay," she said calming down.
"Can I use the car?" I asked, I don't exactly think that I can walk to Luke's house, we'll I can but it would take some time.
"Sure," she said.
"Thanks, bye," I said and walked to the door, grabbing the keys as I went.
"Fill me in when you get back!" She yelled after me.
"Sure mom!" I yelled back, I'm not. I walked outside. The sky is cloudy and it smells like it is going to thunderstorm. I walked to mom's red Honda it's a really nice. I got in the drivers seat and started it up. I started driving to Luke's house.
I remember what way Luke took when he drove me. I can't believe that he is a demon, he was so nice to me like my best friend I thought. Then I remembered what he told me when he pulled me away from the dance. He said that he thinks he loves me. Was he telling the truth or was it just a spam to turn me evil? I thought.
I shook my head trying to clear the thoughts from my head. Arianna is howling and barking in delight, like she is excited that I'm going to Luke's house. What is with her? By now it has started to poor rain, I turned on the wipers. I turned onto the dirt road.
Twenty minutes passed and his house/cabin whatever you want to call it came into view. I pulled up beside his truck. I shut the car off and stepped out into the rain with my bag. Thunder boomed. I love thunderstorms. The creak beside ethereal cabin is over flowing. I hurried to the front door, trying not to be soaked head to tow. No such luck when I got to the front door I'm drenched. I nocked loudly on the wooden door. I heard footsteps approaching the door inside. Luke opened the door and looked at me in surprise. He doesn't have a shirt on, what is with this guy and not having a shirt on!
"Are you okay?" He asked worried.
"What? Why would you ask that?" I asked confused.
"Because after our conversation in the woods outside the school I would think that you would be avoided me. The only reason I would think you would come here is because you are in trouble," he said. Then he added. "Unless you have had a change of heart."
"Would you mind letting me in, I'm kind of getting soaked out here," I asked anoyed already.
"Ya come on in," he said stepping aside. I stepped in and walked passed him, brushing against him as I walked. Tingles went through me when I accidentally touched him. I walked over to the living room and sat down on the couch. The fire place is already lit and the heat is nice against my cold body.
"Your soaked, do you want a towel?" He asked shutting the door. Thunder boomed again and lightning cracked. I was about to say no but he was already gone to the bathroom. I shrugged. He came back out with a white towel and a shirt. He handed the towel to me.
"Thanks," I murmured. I started to use it to dry off. He put on the shirt, Arianna whimpered when he did. I can even. What is wrong with her? He walked over and sat down on the chair.
"So why are you here?" He asked.
"Because we still have to finish writing the story before the month ends," I said reminding him.
"Oh that, what's the big deal? So we fail," he asked with a shrug.
"Well unlike you I can't go back to hell if I fail!" I hissed. He looks furious.
"You don't know what it's like being in hell! The only reason why I took this job wasn't because I wanted to, I just did it because I didn't want to stay down there!" He snapped.
"Oh......... I never new," I whispered. He breathed deeply, calming down.
"Should we get to work?" He asked changing the subject.
"Ya I guess," I said. I unzipped my bag and brought out the story. Luckily it was one of the few things that didn't get wet.
"This is some storm we are having," he observed. The wind is howling loudly.
"Ya," I said. We got to work, three hours in and the lights went out. I can still see though because of the fire place. I stoped writting.
"The powers out, I'll go get some candles," he said and walked away. Lightning flashed outside lighting up the room for a brief second. He walked back with candles in hand. He set them out around the living room and ones on the table. He went and got the matches and was about to light the candles but I held up my hand for him to stop.
"Wait," I said. He stoped and looked at me curiously. I concentrated and snapped my fingers and all of the candles lit.
"That could come in handy," he said impressed. I smiled a little. The candlelight and the fire lit up the room and it's nice and warm. Then my stomach growled loudly and I realized how hungry I am. He raised a eye brow at me questioningly. "I never had breakfast, I'm hungry."
"Well I will just have to fix that," he said and walked into the kitchen. He walked back out with a packet of hot dogs and two roasting sticks. he handed me a stick and a hot dog.
"Thanks," I said and walked over to the fresh and sat down in front of it. I put the hotdog on the stick, now that I think of it that's just sounds wrong on so may levels. I held it over the fire and started to cook it. He walked over and sat down beside me. He started to cook a hot dog too. Alot of people would say that it's romantic. Arianna wants us to be closer. BlueNight, that's what I named my panther, is excited and wants us to be close to. what is up with them? I thought. I cooked the hot dog and ate it.
"Best hot dog ever," I mumbled truthfully.
"I bet you that you wish I was Night," Luke murmured turning his head away from me. I turned my head sharply to look at him.
"What?" I asked sharply even though I heard him clearly. He looked sharply back at me.
"Don't think that I don't know what is going on between you two, I know that he likes you," he said.
"Your jealous," I exclaimed with a smirk.
"So what if I am!" He snapped. I lowered my eyes now I feel bad.
"It's not like anything can happen between us anyways," I murmured. His gaze softened.
"Why?" He asked.
"It's not like you care why, Lukein," I said using his real name. He froze.
"How do you know my real name?" He said with his teeth clenched in anger. I ignored his question.
"So how is Briget lately? She sleep over here with you lately?" I taunted. He looks furious, his eyes turned pure black. This was not a good idea I thought. I stood up and backed up cautiously my back hit the wood wall. He walked up to me with his fists clenched.
