Chapter 22

EMMAS POV
"I...I still love Mark...but I just can't forgive him." I told Harriet. "Then tell him!" Harriet commanded. "I can't! He'll get the wrong idea!" I said to her. "Fine. If you don't tell him, I will." Harriet said and walked over to Mark. "Harriet!" I called but she didn't take any notice. I hid behind the wall because I wanted to hide.
HARRIETS POV
I went over to Mark and tapped him on the shoulder again. "What do you want this time? Do you want to have a go at me or something?" Mark asked me. "No. I was going to tell you something." I said. "And that is?" Mark asked. "Emma still loves you. But she was too scared to tell you." I told him. "Really?!" Mark exclaimed. "Yes but she can't forgive you." I said. "It was all Loren. It was all her fault. She kissed me first and then she kissed me again. I tried to push her off but I couldn't so i just stayed there. But then Emma walked in. I have no feelings for Loren whatsoever. All my feelings are for Emma and Emma only. I just wish she could see that." Mark explained. "Deep down she does. It's just she's got it into her head that you don't." I said. "Harriet? Could you maybe help me with pushing us back together?" Mark asked. If I didn't, Emma would be sad for the rest of her life. "Fine. But I'm only doing this for Emma's sake." I told him. "Okay, okay. What you need to do is make Emma think she's gonna meet you at lunch, outside the cafeteria. And I'll take it from there. But you don't actually turn up. Yeah?" Mark asked. "Well, I'm a great help, aren't I(?)" I said, sarcastically. "You are! You'll be an amazing friend and person if Emma finally forgives me!" Mark exclaimed. Then the bell rang. "Right. Remember the plan?" Mark asked. "Yup." I said and walked away to my next class.
