------------------------------------EMMA'S POV
We heard a scream from Aimee's room. Me, Jacob and Mark all stared at eachother. Aimee's mom came running out. "Nurse! Doctor! Anyone?!" She screamed. A nurse came down the corridor. "Yes. What's the matter? Is everything alright?" She questioned. "No! My daughter! The machine!" Aimee's mom exclaimed, tears streaming down her face. Me, Jacob and Mark stood at the side, watching everything that was happening. I heard something inside Aimee's room, beeping rapidly. Jacob and Mark heard it too. "Aimee..." Jacob gasped. "No..." He carried on. "Aw, Jacob..." I whispered, giving him a hug. I signalled for Mark to hug Jacob too. So we all did a group hug. Jacob tried to hide the fact that he was quietly crying into mine and Mark's shoulder but it didn't work out too well. We both knew he was crying. Then Jacob's parents along with my parents came out of the room, looking shocked. "Mom. Dad. What's happening?" I asked. "Aimee...she's not holding up too well. They've said she's lost quite a bit of blood." My mom told us. "How? In the kitchen, she lost a little blood. Not quite a bit." I said. "I don't know, Emma. The doctors are the ones who knows best and it's best if we listen to them, isn't it?" My mom carried on. "I guess..." I said. "I need some air..." Jacob said and walked off down the corridor. Mark was about to go after him but I said, "Mark. Leave him. He'll be fine after a bit of air and time to think on his own." Mark nodded and sat down next to me on these seats.
JACOBS POV
I needed time to think. I needed air. So I went outside and found a bench. I put my head in my hands and started to think. How could I be so stupid?! She can die. And it will be all my fault. It'll be all my fault that my own 4 year old cousin died because me! "Hey...are you okay?" I heard someone say. I felt them sit down next to me. I looked up and saw this beautiful girl. She had brown hair and light blue eyes. "Sorry. Is there something wrong with how I look?" She asked, looking at herself. "Sorry. No, of course not." I replied. "I'm Victoria. What's your name?" She asked. "Jacob. Jacob Sartorius." I told her. "Nice name. What's the matter?" She asked. "Well, long story short. I accidentally cut my cousin across the arm, my best friend took the blame for it and now my cousin is in there fighting for her life..." I explained. "Ah. Don't worry. I'm sure you're cousin will be fine. I'll be praying for her or him." Victoria said. "She's a her." I smiled. "Well, I'm sure she'll be good as new by tomorrow. Send her my love." Victoria smiled back. She got up but she dropped something on my lap before walking away. It was a piece of paper. I opened it up and saw a number on it. This must be her number. I put the paper in my pocket and got up off the bench. I went back inside to see what was going on.
EMMAS POV
We saw Jacob coming back down the corridor. He looked much, much happier. In fact, he was smiling. "What are you smiling at?" I asked. "This girl. I met a girl while I was outside." Jacob said. "Oo. Has my boy pulled?" Mark laughed. Jacob laughed. "I might just have..." Jacob laughed, and he looked down at a piece of paper he pulled out of his pocket. Me and Mark looked at eachother and shook our heads while smiling. Jacob might have just fallen in love...
