EMMAS POV
I left the room while my mom and dad yelled at Trinity. I went back to my room and grabbed my phone. I really wanted to hang out with my friends today. Well, at least the people who I like and haven't fallen out with. So I phoned Harriet.
Harriet: Hey. You okay?
Me: Hi. Yeah, I'm alright. You?
Harriet: I'm good. Why are you just alright? Why aren't you good?
Me: Mark's gonna be in London for 3 weeks. And he's already gone.
Harriet: Why don't we surprise him?
Me: We can't. We have to go on a plane! It's too far!
Harriet: Well, your choice. But what's up?
Me: Do you want to come round mine?
Harriet: Yeah, sure. What time?
Me: Around 12, okay for you?
Harriet: That's cool. See you then!
Me: Alright then. Bye!
Then I phoned Jacob.
Jacob: What's up, Em?
Me: Hey. Wanna come to mine?
Jacob: No.
Me: Why?
Jacob: I'm just kidding! Of course I do!
Me: Good! I thought you had fallen out with me, like I have with Loren.
Jacob: Nah. I could never fall out with my best mate. Anyways, what time?
Me: Around 12?
Jacob: Sounds good. See you at yours at 12?
Me: Yep. See you then!
Jacob: Bye!
And I hung up. I put my phone on my dresser and went into my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face then I walked out. I strolled over to my closet and I tried picking what to wear. I picked out a white and blue crop top and some shorts. I went over to my dresser and did my make up. I brushed my hair through and just threw it up into a high pony tail. I grabbed my phone off my dresser and went downstairs to have some breakfast. I was quite hungry today. I took some cereal from the cupboard and tipped some into a bowl with some milk. I sat down at the table and ate my breakfast while on my phone. Then I remembered, if Mark was to FaceTime, call or text me, it would either be late for him, early for me or early for him and late for me. Cause he's in London which is like on the otherside of the world. I couldn't wait for him to come back. Then I had an idea. I could go to the train station when he comes back and be there when he gets off. I could do that.
11:53am
The guys should be here in around 7 minutes. Depends whether Jacob comes early, like he always does. Harriet is early, but sometimes she runs a couple minutes late.
About 2 minutes later, someone knocked on the door. I got up and went over to answer it. It was Jacob. "Hey!" I said. "Hey! I'm early again!" He laughed. "Yes, you are. I was literally just thinking that." I told him as he walked into the house. "So...you missing Mark a lot?" Jacob asked. "Yeah...he's gone for 3 weeks. That's a long time..." I said. "Just don't think about it...just think that he's going to be back tomorrow. And when tomorrow comes think he's coming back the day after tomorrow." Jacob told me. I got really confused. "What...?" I asked, confused. "I don't even know. Just don't think about it." Jacob said. "How can I not think about my own boyfriend, Jacob?" I asked him. "Ugh. I don't know. I'm just making things worst, aren't I? I'll just shut up." Jacob said, and put his hand over his mouth. Just then, Harriet just walked in. "Hey!" She said, causally. I laughed. Jacob laughed underneath his hand. Harriet noticed Jacob and she gasped and went all red. "Umm...are you okay, Hat?" I asked her. "Uhh...yeah. I-I'm fine. Fine." Harriet stuttered, staring at Jacob with a bright red face. "Hat. Can I talk to you for a minute? In private?" I asked her, and pulled her outside. "What's up?" She asked, seeming okay now. "Do you fancy Jacob?" I smirked. "No! No way! I don't!" She lied. "Really? Hat, I'm your best friend. You can tell me anything!" I exclaimed. "Fine. Okay, then. I do..." Harriet said. "But you were fine around him before. Why aren't you okay around him now?" I asked her. "I don't know...I just really like him now." Harriet whispered. "Tell him." I demanded. "No! I can't." Harriet exclaimed. "Harriet. He's our best friend. How can you not tell him? He won't freak or anything, I don't think..." I said. "I can't! I'm too embarrassed!" Harriet confessed. "Fine then. I'll tell him." I giggled and went back inside. Jacob wasn't standing there anymore. Ugh. He always just wanders off. "Jacob?" I asked, while I walked around the house. I found him under a table...? "What are you doing?" I asked, confused but giggling. "I heard someone upstairs..." He whispered. "My family...?" I said, giggling. "Ohh!" He said and got up. "I need to tell you something." I said. "Yeah, what?" Jacob asked. "Harriet likes-" I was about to tell him before Harriet butted in. "Likes...my...dog! Yeah." Harriet lied. "Hat!" I exclaimed. "No, you don't." Jacob said. "Yes, I do!" Harriet argued. "No, you don't. Cause you don't have a dog." Jacob said, looking annoyed. "What were you going to say, Em?" Jacob asked me. "Harriet likes you." I told him. "What? Really?" Jacob asked Harriet. She nodded, going red again. I giggled.
