Chapter 35

She knows.
"S-sky I don't know what-t-" before I can finish she cuts me off by saying.
"Don't lie to me Kate. It's okay, I'm not mad but what's going on between you two needs to stop. He has a wife, and you're being a homewrecker" she says in a soft tone.
I love Luke!!
"Sky will you tell mom and dad?" I ask looking down at my fingers.
Just to think, last night I was with him in the back of his car, and now I'm sitting here with my sister who knows about the affair.
"If you two stop sneaking around no, but if I catch you with him one more time out of school.... I'll have no choice" she says looking at me with pleading eyes.
Tears start rolling down my cheeks as I think of the thought. No more kisses, cuddles, and irrational arguments about him being protective.
I find myself sobbing into my hands, right in front of my sister.
"I-I-I love him!" I sobbed while pulling my knees into my chest.
"H-h-he loves me!" I say sobbing harder.
I look up and see Pity on sky's face. She wasn't the bad guy, and I knew that. If it was the other way round I probably would of told on her a long time ago.
"He has a wife" she says holding one of my hands.
My heart dropped. The air that was in my lungs disappeared and I found myself wheezing.
He has a wife.
A loving wife.
I shake my head vigorously and look at sky with pain and annoyance.
"He fücking loves me!" I repeat
Now I was mad at her, she has the audacity to mention something that we already fücking knew.
"G-get out" I say stuttering, pulling her hand away from mines.
"I-I have to get ready for school, and I'll be catching a ride with maya" I continue.

Does she know I told her sister?
I might as well call this my new home since I've been in this bar every free moment I have. I feel so guilty telling sky about her and Luke.
She loves Luke
And now she may never be able to see him again, and possible Luke can be going into jail.
"Ashton?" A feeble voice asks.
I turn my head to see sky, but not usual perky and smiling sky. Sad and broken sky.
"Sky what's wrong?" I ask opening my arms for her.
She walks into my arms and leans her head on my shoulder.
"I-I told Kate she had to stop seeing Luke-E and-d she hates me" she says sniffling and crying softly.
"Sky, she's in love with Luke. Of course she's going to be angry at first. She'll realize soon that he doesn't love her, and he's using her" I say softly, allowing the worlds to fly out of my unfiltered mouth.
"What if he really loves her? And I'm the bad guy trying to break them apart?" She asks looking up at me with those ocean eyes of hers.
"Kate will know you were trying to protect her" I say putting a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"Don't you have to be at school?" Sky asks with a little bit of concern.
"Depends did you tell Kate who told you?" I say taking another shot quickly.
"No, I wouldn't throw you under the bus like that" she says with a giggle.
"then yes, WE should both be going to school" I say getting up and leaving money for the drink I got.
"I'm driving you, you're drunk. To be completely honest you shouldn't even be going in" she says with concern.
"Im going in, or it's going to be obvious the guilt of telling you is eating me alive" I say with a chuckle.
Once we were both buckled up in the car she looks over at me.
"why do you love Kate so much?" She asks with curiosity
"You know how it feels like your drowning sometimes in life? Being constantly underwater, no air?" I ask looking over at her.
She nods in agreement.
"Well, when I'm with Kate I'm not suffocating. It's a breathe of well needed fresh air" I say with tears in my eyes.
God, how much I miss her
Tears begin to roll down my cheek as I look out the window.
"I love her sky so much, and I know I've messed up in the past. I don't even know what I was saying to minty that one day in the classroom. I thought it will help hide the fact that Kate was in love with someone else." I babble letting the water works out.
"I fücking love her!" I say slamming my hand into the dash board, making sky gasp.
"We aren't going to school today" she states making a U turn.
"No no we have too" I say beginning to cry harder.
"Ashton you're a fücking mess. I'm not allowing you to embarrass yourself" she says pulling over and looking at me.
She unbuckles her self and climbs on to my lap, wrapping her arms around me and holding me close.
"I fücking love her sky" I whisper
