Croatoan Pt. 2

Mrs. Tanner was in the back seat of the Impala as they pulled up in front of the clinic, Sam helped her out and led her to the door.

"Hello? Hello? We need a doctor here!" Sam watched as the young woman from his vision rushed out.

"Mrs. Tanner, what happened?" The Doctor asked

"She's been attacked,"

"Doctor Lee?" Mrs. Tanner questioned

"Bring her in," Dr. Lee ordered as she rushed in

"Okay," Pam lead Sam and Mrs. Tanner into a backroom.

Dean entered carrying the body of Mr. Tanner, covered by a canvas.

"Is that..."

"Mr. Tanner?" Dean finished

"Was he attacked too?"

"Uh...no, actually, he did the attacking and then he got himself shot,"

"Shot?"

"Yeah,"

"And who are you?"

"US Marshal. I'd show you my badge, but uh..."

"Oh. Sorry. Bring him back here," Dr. Lee sat across from Mrs. Tanner as she treated the wound on her left shoulder. "Wait, you said Jake helped him? Your son Jake?"

Mrs. Tanner nodded "They beat me. Tied me up,"

"I don't believe it,"

"Pam. Beverly...do you have any idea why they would act this way? Any history of chemical dependency?"

Beverly shook her head "No, of course not. I don't know why. One minute they were my husband and my son. And the next, they had the devil in them,"

Sam and Dean shared a look at her last words.

"We gotta talk." Dean told Sam as they exited the lab "Those guys were whacked out of their gourds,"

"What do you think? Multiple demons, mass possession?" Sam wondered

"If it is a possession there could be more. I mean, God knows how many, it could be like a friggin' Shriner convention,"

"Great,"

"Of course, that's one way to wipe out a town, you take it from the inside,"

"I don't know, man. We didn't see any of the demon smoke with Mr. Tanner, or any of the other usual signs,"

"Well, whatever. Something turned him into a monster. And you know if you woulda taken out the other one there'd be one less to worry about,"

"I'm sorry, all right? I hesitated, Dean, it was a kid!"

"No, it was an 'it'. Not the best time for a bleeding heart, Sam,"

"You know it's that kind of thinking that probably caused Selina to run away," before Dean could argue Dr. Lee exited "How's the patient?"

"Terrible! What the hell happened out there?" Dr. Lee asked

"We don't know," Dean told her

"Yeah? Well, you just killed my next-door neighbor,"

"We didn't have a choice,"

"Maybe so, but we need the county Sheriff. I need the coroner..."

"Phones are down," Sam told her

"I know, I tried. Tell me you have a police radio in the car?"

"Yeah, we do. But it crapped out just like everything else,"
