Heart Pt. 4

(Third Person POV)

Sam watched the full moon while Madison sat in the chair.

Madison's fingernails began to grow, stretching into claws. Her eyes turned bright blue and she bared her fangs.

Sam turned just as Madison broke loose from the chair.

Madison knocked Sam to the ground.

Both turned when they heard a threatening growl

"Luna..." Sam whispered.

Luna lunged at Madison, creating enough distraction for Sam to grab his gun. Luna went to attack Madison again, but with one glance from Madison, she backed down and instead turned towards Sam.

"Luna?" Sam questioned, there was no deterrence "Selina?"

Both Madison and Luna lunged at Sam, but he moved out of the way, forcing both into Madison's bedroom. Quickly closing the door Sam moved the entertainment center in front of the door, trapping the two inside.

Selina was the first to wake up to find herself in Madison's room, all the furniture was overturned and claw marks covered every inch of the walls "Oh my God," she muttered. Selina looked up as Sam opened the door, he looked sadly at her and she knew she messed up. "Sam...I..."

Sam looked away "Dean's waiting in the Impala," He followed Selina out, Dean not even acknowledging her as she got in the back seat.

"It was sort of sad, actually. Glen had no clue what was going on. Hey, why do you think he turned Madison instead of just killing her in the first place?" Dean glanced back at Selina but she didn't reply. "What I did was to protect you..." He claimed only to witness Selina curl up into a ball, Dean glanced at Sam "What happened?"

"I don't know. I mean, he kind of seemed to have a thing for her," Sam stated ignoring Dean's question

"Maybe his primal instinct did, too. Maybe he was looking for a little, uh, hot breeding action," Dean joked trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah. Something like that,"

"So?"

"So what?"

"Speaking of Madison..."

"Can we not...please?" Selina finally spoke up

"You saved her life," Dean pointed out.

Selina remained silent

"You know, for a stake-out, your car's a bit conspicuous," Madison claimed as she came up to the window. "What are you still doing here?"

"Honestly? Uh, we're pretty sure you're not gonna turn tonight, but we've gotta be a hundred percent, so...you know, we're lurking,"

"I know this sounds crazy," Selina told her

"Sure does. Well, if we're gonna wait it out...we might as well do it together," Madison led the Winchesters into her house "You were telling the truth, weren't you? About everything. What you did...it was to help me,"

"Yeah,"

"I did all of those horrible things...when I turned,"

"You didn't know,"

"So, when will we know for sure? Moonrise?"

"No, I don't think so. You turned the middle of the night last night. I think we've gotta hang in until sun-up,"

"Well, it looks like we've got ourselves a few hours to kill. Poker, anyone?" Dean suggested

Selina walked off and Dean looked at her worried.

"Was it something I said?"

"Dean..." Sam warned

Dean finally connected the dots "She turned,"

Sam looked down

"Shit," Dean made a move to follow her but Sam stopped him.

"Give her some space," Sam suggested

Dean sighed and sat down in the chair, Sam and Madison took up the couch. 

Once the moon rose Dean placed his gun on the table, receiving an uneasy glance from Madison and Sam. "Oh, no, you guys talk," Dean looked around and sighed "Screw space..." He headed out of the room and found Selina looking at the scratched up walls of Madison's bedroom.

"I did this," Selina whispered

"You wanna talk about it?"

"What is there to talk about?"

"Well, something's been going on in that head of yours that got you so distracted that you let Luna out,"

"I don't want to talk about it," Selina huffed

"Selina, I'm your brother...no matter what I'm here for you. Sam and I are here for you," Dean sat on the bed, Selina placing her head on his shoulder.

Madison watched as the sun came up "Does...does this mean it worked?"

"Yeah. I think so," Selina said

"Oh, God, thank you. Thank you so much." Madison hugged Selina, Dean cleared his throat, and they pulled away. "You, too, Sam, Dean."

"Aw, don't mention it," Dean told Madison and lead Sam out of the house "So, we're just gonna head back to the hotel and...watch some Pay-Per-View or something," 

Sam looked at him confused but Dean gave him a look as they left.

"That was smooth," Madison stated with a laugh

Selina rubbed her arm awkwardly "He means well, but..."

"You mean, he thinks you're gonna get laid,"

"Look, I..."

"It's okay," Madison said as she put a reassuring hand on Selina's shoulder "You know before your brothers burst in and tied me to a chair you were going to explain to me how I'm unusual..."

"I understand what you're going through Madison, I'm a werewolf too, but unlike you, I can transform into a full wolf. I met Dean through a werewolf case...much similar to this one in fact,"

Madison took a seat next to me on the couch as I continued talking.

"My ex was killing humans and eating their hearts. During the case, I had to make a decision to either kill the man I had loved or kill the man who opened me into his family." I didn't realize I was crying until I felt a tear fall on my hand and Madison began brushing it with her thumb. "I called you unusual...because after I killed my ex, I didn't expect to feel the pull of an Alpha ever again, didn't expect it to happen ever again until I met you. I think that's why Dean left me with you because he believes that after this case I can finally move on from that past...but he doesn't realize there's just no way. Dereck will always be a part of who I am for as long as I have Luna." Selina looked up into Madison's eyes "Just like there's no way...we could go back, you know? Before it happened,"

"You're right." Madison brushed a piece of Selina's hair from her face "There's just no way," Madison kissed Selina, Selina responded, pushing her against the wall.
