Ever since Emma found out that I knew about her mother, she hasn't said a word to me. When EXO and I would walk passed her in the hallways, she would just give me a quick glance but turn aside instantly in another direction. Making sure that I didn't notice, especially in English. That's the only class we have together. Also she never came over to my house those few days for assistance, which is understandable in this situation.

While sitting at my desk, not paying any attention to what the English teacher, Mrs. Kennedy was saying since she's just presenting us a PowerPoint about the current story we read, my gaze goes out towards the window to see a view of little specks of snow falling. Wishing my whole body could just be outside, freezing to death, feeling the glacial on top of my bare skin while the snow gradually hits every little spot there is to be seen.

To get out of those thoughts, Mrs. Kennedy brought to my attention instantly when she made an announcement towards the class "Okay for the next 20 minutes of class, I'm going to talk about your new project you will be working on next week."

She continued to say, while we kept hearing her black high heels hitting the floor whenever she would take a step to another direction in the class "This project is about living in a new home environment of another classmates' point of view. You get to be them for a whole week and will write a 4-5 paragraph essay about what you've learned about them as an individual when you're them. The essay will be due on Monday, December 19th."

After her last sentence, almost everyone started turning around in their desks, talking about who's partnering with who, but it came to my attention to see that Mrs. Kennedy had her arms crossed with an annoyed facial expression. Waiting for everyone to shut the fuck up. One student noticed too when the male student shouted out loudly "Aye shut up!"

Mrs. Kennedy continued while she was still in front of the class for our brief attention, making her facial expression change to a tight smile when saying "Thank you Tim. Okay as I was saying, I've already assigned your partners so there's no need to find a partner."

Hearing a lot of students groan from realization, some said "Damn it" under their breaths, and more negativity remarks about the assigned partner idea. It sucks that Kai will most likely not be my partner since most of these sickos in this class just make me want to punch them. So immature.

Mrs. Kennedy walked over to her desk to grab the clipboard, which to my guess is the partnerships she assigned for this temporary project. When she came back to the front of the class, her eyes roamed the clipboard when announcing all these pairings that had nothing to do with me.

"Kai and Kristina." Yep my thoughts were correct. Kai said he had liked Kristina since middle school, so he must be pleased in the inside when he really isn't showing it in the outside, just to have this bad boy vibe. All EXO have this bad boy vibe, that's what mostly makes us so intimidating.

She called out more pairs until she then announced one pairing that got my full attention from the unexpected

"Chanyeol and Emma."

My dark brown eyes widen with my mouth parted dry, no words came out. My view couldn't see Emma's facial expression when Mrs. Kennedy announced our partnership because she's in the front, but she's probably as shocked as I am at the moment. Not knowing how this will end up since she still has full hatred towards me.
