"Amnael is an half-angel. A nephilim. That makes him stronger than anyone of us.", Samael explained to me, "With that amulet and your sword you would have had a chance to hurt him, but not to kill him."
"How am I supposed to kill him then?" I replied and sunk deeper in my couch while Samael was still standing in front of me, refusing to sit down.
"The rule says that no child of an angel and a human being should be able to be killed by the hand of a creature with godlike power." Finally Samael moved towards the couch and sat down, "Means, no angel or demon should be able to kill him. Father made this rule so the human would be able to decide if he wants the child or not, since we weren't supposed to take care of them. We should only take care of our jobs back then."
I thought about what he said for a while and then, when I finally had an idea, I sat up straight and looked at him, "So a human can kill him?"
"Yes, but I strongly doubt you'll find a human who is willing to go to hell to kill the king.", Samael replied with a straight face.
A light grin wandered over my lips before I replied: "Does this include all kinds of humans? Like even when they haven't been human when they were born?"
Samael looked confused at me and answered after some time of thinking: "I guess. After all, when they are human then there is no godlike power."
"Great!", I exclaimed and got up from the couch, "I can do it then."
My angelic friend was confused but I explained one of my powers to him.
The archangels got the power to become human in order to remain unrecognised in critical situations, but there had been several downsides, which is why no one of us ever used this power. The first thing that changes is our appearance. Since archangels and humans are something entirely different we also would look different if we were humans. We lose our wings and all our powers, even the one which turns us back to angels.
When you newly became a human then you feel sick, but when you become an angel again then it takes a long time until all your powers are back. It can even happen that you lose bits and pieces of your memories - and of course, being human itself can also be a downside. The only way to become an archangel again would be to find someone you trust and hope he's willing to lend you some of his power so yours can slowly return.
In this case Samael had to be the one I trust. Even though I didn't trust him.
I knew him since two days only and still had no clue how he even found me. I knew literally nothing about him, except that he worked for Gabriel, which meant that he could practically be lying to me all along and just get information for Gabriel.
But I had to trust him, because I lost those who I really trusted. Because lately everyone who comes too close to me dies.Samael agreed on my idea, but remaind rather sceptical. We knew it would be hard to get a human to hell, since it wasn't made for them, but even harder for me to find my sword and Amnael.
I had an idea on how to solve those problems, but I didn't like it.
"We'll need a demon.", I told him.
Samael look at me, even more bewildered than earlier, so I explained my idea to him. "The demon will need to take me to hell and tell Amnael I found a way in. He has to convince him to not let me go again so I can stay a while. I'll have time to look at hell and find my sword, while no one will notice who I really am."
"What if he orders them to kill you?", Samael asked. He must have been thinking about every detail obviously.
"Then all this will be someone else's problem.", I joked and got up from the couch, "Come on. We're looking for a demon to help us."
"Alright.", Samael answered and with that his body caught fire until it vanished.
Seriously? Mentally I was cursing because he just left, but outwardly I stayed calm and headed towards the door.
After I left the house I heard a noise behind me and turned around. Samael was standing there with his hand on the shoulder of a teenager boy who was a head taller than Samael himself and had curly brown hair.
"Is this one okay?", Samael asked with a smile.
I nodded and walked to them. "As long as he helps us I'd accept anyone."
The demon boy interrupted our conversation and crossed his arms: "Here's the deal. I'm not one of your little helpers who gets killed in the end, got it? You help me to get rid of our 'leader'. I only help you get to hell therefore. I won't save you if you mess it up."
"Deal." I agreed and held my hand to him. The boy hesitated for a second, but then then he shook my hand and said: "I'm Weeron, by the way."
I nodded and walked back inside my house with them. There I told Weeron everything about our plan.
While we talked he listened to everything I said carefully and didn't interrupted me at all. He seemed like a nice guy.
Back then was the time when I learned that angel didn't automatically mean good and demon meant bad.
We were like humans in that perspective. Some of us were good and some were bad. That's why demons don't go to hell either when they die. They get to their personal heavens just like everyone else, because they are also just souls trying to get through the day.
