[VICTORIA]

When the door opened again, it was to let me out of the car. Thanking both of the men, I stepped out. My eyes widened as I took in the view.

There was a wide walkway to the bottom of the two staircases

There was a wide walkway to the bottom of the two staircases. A small fountain lay in the middle of the walkway. There were three floors with balconies for all the rooms. Two paths led to the back of the house which were lined with trees.

I felt so out of place.

Following the two men, I entered the house.

The man from yesterday stood in the foyer, his green eyes sizing me up. I resisted the urge to cower behind the two men. Instead, I forced a smile on my face.

"Mr. Santiago," I said sweetly. "Nice to see you again."

Liam smiled back. "Miss Hale," he replied. "I'm glad you agreed to this."

It was hard to keep the smile on my face. "Please, call me Victoria."

He nodded, and beckoned me to follow him.

My eyes widened as I took in the grand staircase. Quickly, I followed  Liam up the steps. He looked down at me as he opened a door.

It led to a bedroom that was twice the size of the abandoned house I used to live in. The headboard of the bed was pressed against the middle of the wall.  A couch was placed next to the window with a flat screen tv on the wall. A dresser was pushed up against the wall next to the door. Another two doors were next to the entrance and another one leading to the balcony next to the bed. My feet sunk into the soft lavender carpet as I walked forward.

Liam didn't pause his large strides as I stopped to gawk at the room.

"I assume you'd like to have a shower?" Liam raised an eyebrow. I quickly nodded. He opened the door he was standing next to.

"The bathroom is through there, and the closet is the door next to it. When you're done, please come meet me in the foyer. We are going to pay my son a visit." With that, he left the room.

I rushed to the bathroom and peeled off my clothes. Standing under warm water after 3 years felt like heaven. I scrubbed at my skin and saw the dirt starting to come off. I kept scrubbing until my skin turned raw. Finding a bottle of shampoo, I washed my hair, making sure to get all the oil and grime out.

When I stepped out, I grabbed a white, fluffy bathrobe. I dried my hair and made my way over to the closet. Or should I say walk-in closet?

I walked in, finding racks of clothing in different sizes. Finding my size for my undergarments, I quickly searched for an outfit. I settled on a black tank top and a flannel shirt to wear over it. Pulling on a pair of shorts, I mentally gave myself a pat on the back for shaving my legs. I hesitated on the black pumps, but still put them on.
