Have you ever let someone go without thinking of the consequences? It's like a break up. You feel free for a month or so but eventually you'll feel the emptiness in your heart that was once filled with the love of that special someone.
Soon you'll regret everything. Bot not soon enough. Before you could even realize, you ran out of time. Completely. All you had left is memories. Painfully happy memories of the past that will fade away just in the matter of time.
Not to mention the guilt that's eating you alive. All you do is think about the feelings of that person. What if they hate you? What if they still miss you? What if they moved on and already forgot you?
These questions keep popping up in your head, and the feeling of desperation to know the answer is slowly tearing you apart, day by day. You don't know what they would say. You don't dare to ask. You're afraid of rejection and disappointment.
That's how I feel right now. That's my story. That's how losing your best friend feels like.
