Epilogue pt. 2

Taehyung's P.O.V.

It's been three years. Three years since Jungkook disappeared without a single word. After he sent me that picture of his arm, covered in scars. Old and new ones, ruining the beautiful white skin while painfully reminding me of what I have done to him. He just ran away, making sure not to leave anything  that can help me find him again behind. At least that's what I thought.

I've suffered a lot since our ways got separated, I've cried myself to sleep at least a hundred times, I missed him more than anything. I tried to make new friends, desperately, just to forget about him, but of course this plan has failed. Miserably. No one could replace him, and I knew this very well. Still, I needed something to distract me from thinking of him all the time.

I decided to try out new things, such as dying my hair various colors, getting tattoos and going out more. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not a part of a "bad boys squad", I don't drink nor do drugs. I've just changed.

Soon after my "dramatic transformation", I finished high school and attended to collage. It's been fun, except the fact that we got a ton of work and studying to do. Essays, presentations, finals. Just the usual things.

The first few days were so busy, I had to move in with my new roommate. At first, I was incredibly nervous, since I'm not good at first impressions and making new friends.

It turned out that the guy is really friendly and funny, so we easily became friends in a short time. His name's Jimin. His hair is also dyed, it's orange. Quite a bold color, but it suits him strangely well. After we packed everything out and got comfortable, we went out for a coffee.

I got to know him much more, he kind of reminded me of my old self. Just in a lot louder version. Later, he introduced me to his friends. A bunch of weirdos, but they're really cool. We got on well.

That's briefly how I got here, where I am today. Sitting on my bed, furiously typing an essay, which's due date is tomorrow.

Currently, I'm alone. Jimin went out in the morning, saying he's already done his homework. I doubt that it's true, but I just let him be. I'm not his mother after all. And I have more important things to do.

It's already late in the afternoon and I'm only half way done, slowly running out of words to say about the topic. My butt's starting to hurt, my legs are sore from the uncomfortable position I've folded myself into, my neck's in pain from sitting in the same spot and glaring at the screen for hours.

I sigh, and decide to take a break. I place my laptop on the bed and stand up, only to hear my joints crack all over in my body.

"Nice." I comment. "I really should start exercising."

I quickly check my phone before heading to the bathroom. When I come out, I hear the front door opening, as a very happy Jimin reveals himself.

"Taehyungie!" he shouts and embraces my small body.

"Jimin?" I reply with a question, carefully patting his back.

"Are you done with your homework yet?" he pulled away suddenly, eyes sparkling with excitement.

"No way near to the end. Why?"

Hearing my answer, his smile faded a bit, and he didn't seem that excited anymore.

"Oh well, you can finish that later. We just found a new guy for our squad. You must meet him! You'll love him."

"Jimin..."

"No, please. Trust me."

"Fine. But I'm not gonna stay the whole night!"

"Yay!" he jumps, before pulling me out of our dorm without a second thought.

"So? How was it?" Jimin asks as we walk home.

"He's really a nice guy." I nod along, while my mind is long gone, wondering about Jungkook and his whereabouts once again.

"Right? I told you!"

"Jimin." I stop walking beside him.

"Yeah?"

"You know... There was this guy I've talked about."

"That Internet friend of yours? What's up with him?"

"I know you told me not to, but I checked his account, and... I'm not even blocked anymore." I whistle, keeping my head hanging low.

"Text him."

"What?" my head shoots up for this simple sentence.

"You won't be able to move on until you know the reason why he left. And there you have the perfect chance. Do it." he smiles at me.

"B-but... Like... Are you sure?"

Jimin sigh at my shyness, and starts to push me from behind until I begin walking again.

"We're gonna discuss this at home."

"So..." Jimin says, popping down beside me on my bed. "You want to talk to him, right?"

"Y-yeah.. But that if he doesn't want to hear from me anymore?"

"Tae, listen. He unblocked you for a reason. You know I don't really like him after you told me about what happened between the two of you. But you both need to finally end this, whatever has been unspoken."

"I can't. Jimin, I just can't do it. It's been three years, for heaven's sake!" I hide my face in my palms.

"Fine." Jimin says, as he takes my phone.

When I finally look up, I see him typing something, before handing my phone back.

"There." he nods with a satisfied smile.

I gulp and take a look at my screen.
