"Ravyn Marie Smith, do you hearby accept the order of Alpha and relinquish your ties to any other pack except for peace treaties that would help your Black Mountain Range pack? Do you hearby give your life as tribute to the service our late brothers and sisters prodivded for us to be here today? Do you hearby do everything in your power to make sure everybody in this pack is safe and secure? And do you hearby to listen to your pack and decide on big decisions by using your Beta's advice?" My dad asked me.

"I hearby accept." I asnwered. Then the ceremony was done and I got mind linked to everybody in the pack. My pack. I quickly made mind folders for certain people. Yeah, mind folders. It doesn't really sound that cool, but it's way better than listening to everybody talking at once. I categorized people based on status and when I would need to talk to them. People that I didn't put in folders were Wes, my dad, and Ryder. The very first folder was filled with ex-Beta, his family, and Tyler. Then the other folders were filled with the rest of the pack and I was set to go. Whenever I wanted to talk to a certain person, I'd just open up the folder and talk to them.

It's hard to explain, but inside of my mind, I see the names and faces of all my pack members, then I can block them out when I put them into folders. The ones I don't put into folders are always talking through their mind link so I have to block them out, but it's always easier to talk to the ones not in the folders. That's why I made the people I talk to the most, the ones without folders.

Anyways, everybody started cheering and clapping and yelling and making as much noise as they can. Inside my brother's head, I heard:

Great job, sis. You're gonna be great.

I smiled and nodded my head to him, letting him know I thanked him. I could feel congrats from the rest of the pack through my mind link. I started walking through the crowd of people that came to the ceremony and people were patting me on the back, telling me I'm going to do great. I smile in thanks at all of them and continued walking until I was nearing the door to the grand ballroom.

The ceremony was held outside, in my backyard with five acres of space to fit everybody. We didn't have to go back five acres, but it was there for when my pack grows.

My house, or a mansion as some people would call it, was three stories high. It was white with brown shutters and roof. It doesn't really look like a grand house, but it is big and the inside looks more regal than the outside.

The back of the house is actually the front... the front was made so it's looking out into the woods. Most of the windows in the house are also looking into the woods so that it's easier to see out. We just call it the back. The driveway is in the front and it's gravel so we can hear when people are pulling up. There's a porch off to the left side when you walk out the back door and then a porch on either side when you walk out the front. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out because I was part of the planning.

Once I reached the ballroom, I had to race upstairs to get my next dress. The dress I had on right then was a black, one-shouldered satin dress. Definitely not ballroom material. While everybody left to go and change, I had to make it quick so I could make sure everything else was ready for the party.

I reached my room in no time at all and before I opened the door, I heard the thoughts of the person inside. I blocked my thoughts so they wouldn't know I was there and, by the sounds of it, they hadn't even heard me.

Should I tell her? I mean, I'm no good. She deserves better. There's nothing I can do in her life to help her. That's the reason why I left in the first place, right?
