Hunted

Chapter 4

      I awoke in someone's arms. I smiled expecting to be in Zero's arms. My eyes wondered up to the boy who was carrying me. He wasn't Zero. I pushed myself out of his arms and looked at him. 

"Who are you and where were you taking me?" I questioned.

"Somewhere safe." He spoke.

  "And where was that?"

     He did not respond to that question. He just oddly stared at me. 

"Whats your name?"

"Aurx." 

"And to where is somewhere safe?"

      He still didn't answer me. This was getting no where.

"Have you seen the vampires that attack the humans anywhere around here?"

"No. My only focus was to find you."

"And why was that?"

"Because you are my sister."

I rolled my eyes,"I am an only child."

      He reached his hand up to the top button of his shirt. I watched him closely as he undid each button one by one. He slipped the shirt off his body and revealed the tattoo that he had. It was similar to mines. The swirls wrapped around his arms to his torso. I was amazed but that doesn't mean what he is saying is true. He looked at me with his soft blue eyes. 

    His eyes started to glow along with his tattoo. 

"What are we?" 

    He smirked and pulled back on his shirt. 

"What are we?" I spoke more stern.

"We are child of the-" He started.

"Ashley!" I heard Zero's voice in the distance. 

   My heart fluttered and i wanted to be with him but i needed to get the rest of information from Arux. 

"We are child of the?" I repeated.

"We are children of the Goddess herself."

"If we are children of the Goddess why does my mother have pictures of her giving birth to me?"

"Ashley!" i heard Zero's voice getting closer.

    I looked in that direction then back and Aurx was gone. I looked around for any sight of him but he vanished. i sighed. I turned and ran in the direction that i heard Zero's voice last. 

"Zero!" i screamed. 

   I could hear footsteps in the distances. I smiled and ran in that direction hoping it was Zero.  When i caught up I found myself standing in front of a women. A women with red hair and red eyes. I took a step back preparing to run but i felt someone grab me from behind. I looked up and saw a man with blue eyes and blonde hair.

"Looky Looky who we found." The men spoke.

   The women smirked and walked over to me. She gently grabbed my chin.

"I didn't think we were gonna get the chance to play with you today." She mocked.

"Where's Zero?"

"Zero?" She smiled," You mean that cute boy with the long hair? Oh now that's his name."

"Stop toying with me where is he?" 

"Even if I had him I wouldn't tell you. That lovely boy would be mines."
