A girl running. Running from someone or something chasing her. The footsteps coming closer and closer. She screams out but no one hears her or come to her rescue. No one lives or goes that deep in the forest. She keeps running as fast as she can. Looking as if she was being chased by the moon She trips over a big log and as her body meet with the solid ground her ankle twist. She screams again out in pain with tears running down her cheeks. She knew she was going to die.

The footsteps that followed so closely behind her stopped and the night fell silent. She knew they were still there lingering in the shadows the night had to offer. Her heart started beating fast sounding like it could burst from her chest at any given moment. She silently prayed to the Goddess that someone would come to find her. Her breath gets heavier. Her weren't heard. She watched as a figure slowly emerged from the shadow into the moon light.

Their red glowing eyes met with hers. She screamed just before my eyes fluttered open. I looked around with fear in my eyes. I was safely in Zero's arms. He looked down at me and ran his fingers over my forehead.

"Bad dream?"

I nodded, "It felt so real. Like I was there."

"I will not let anyone hurt you."

I nodded and my eyes wondered out the window of the car. After six hours of flying we had a thirty minute car drive. I just wanted to get in the bed.

"We're back."

"Back in Maryland."

I just buried my face back in his chest. I couldn't tell him what I saw, he had way too much to worry about. We were taking the thrown soon although he did not feel as though he was ready. I knew I was not ready to become a Queen but the King's job was way more important than the Queen's in my eyes. Another reason was because another tattoo formed around my ankle. Lastly, our Goddess Serina blessed me with a gift that I couldn't control.

"Ash." Zero said breaking me out of my own thoughts.

"Yes?" I mumbled.

"You know you have to study the clan's history? There are important things in the past that could help us in the future when we do take over. Learning the past helps create a better future."

I did not answer I did not want to learn about the past be he did have a point. If I was to rule by his side I must know about the past. I sighed as the car pulled to a stop. We thanked the driver then climbed out the car. The castle looked brand new. At least the outside did.

"Ash!" I heard Deion's voice.

I turned and saw the whole pack and a few new faces behind him. I ran over to him and hugged Deion tightly.

"How are you?"

"Good, How about you?"

"Good."

I smiled but he seemed kind of off. Zero gently laid his hand on my hip and looked at him.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Alexis went missing." Deion Spoke.

That wasn't so bad. I shook my head. Stop it Ashley it is bad. you cant let anything happen to her. No matter how much you want to.

"How long has she been gone?"

"A week maybe longer."

He opened his mouth to speak again but nothing came out. he just closed his mouth again.

"What else?"

"They found your step-dad."

That bastard was found.
