Hunted

Chapter 7

    I looked at Zero unable to speak. His eyes staring at me with a beautiful sliver. 

"Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with me?" I questioned.

"Of course I do." He responded.

    He lightly kissed my lips. i gently cupped his face. At this moment i was happier than i had been in years. 

"So is that a yes?" Zero questioned against my lips. 

   I pulled away from our kiss and looked at him. There was absolutely no one else i would want to spend my life with but him.

 Its been a whole two days since Zero proposed to me. A peaceful two days. I looked down at my sleeping Zero. His arms were secured around my waist while his head laid comfortably on my lap. I sighed as i ran my fingers through his hair calming him. As i did so many thoughts rampaged through my mind. 

I brought so much pain to this man's life, why would he choose me? So much trouble surrounds me and yet he still wants to be with me.  I smiled down at Zero. He was mines. A noise downstairs broke my train of thought. I slowly untangled myself from Zero and made my way downstairs to the living room.

"Alexis are you OK?" i questioned.

She nodded,"I'm fine. Just a bad nightmare." she spoke.

I studied her face for a moment. She seemed so uneasy. I sat down on the couch next to her and sighed.

"Alexis we are going to protect you and everyone else here."

"I know..." she trailed off, "Ashley."

i looked over at her.

"Who are you really?"

i smiled slightly turning my face away from hers, " I am Achelois. That is the name my true mother has given me."

"Ashley I am sorry."

I looked back at her unsure of why exactly she was apologizing.

"For what?" 

"For this."

I felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck.

"Zero!" i screamed.

They placed something over my mouth and my body instantly responded. My body was heavy, my eye lids closed and my body wished to go into a deep sleep. Which my mind gladly gave into.

   Zero's Pov

  "Zero!" i heard Ashley scream.  

 I jumped to my feet and darted downstairs. Ashley was gone only person that was there was Alexis. My anger built up inside me and i grabbed her by the neck and pushed her up against the wall.

"Where is she?" 

"They took her."

"And you just stood and allowed it?"

 She didn't say anything but i knew.

"For what price?" i questioned.

"To be like the both of you." She spoke. 

"And that is the price you took to turn in someone who has done nothing but help you! I should Kill you right now!" 

"Do as you wish they have not held up their end of the bargain anyway."

"No she is a witch she will always hold her end of the bargain. I hope and pray to our Goddess your change is a painful one."

I released her and walked away.

"You aren't  going to stay with me while i change?"

"No i will not. I will be going to look Ashley."

She followed me outside.

"Why do you love her so much?"

i stopped then turned and looked at her.

"Because unlike you she is not a selfish, insecure girls who thinks of no one but herself. Ashley has did everything to help you even after she was almost killed because of you.  She is the sweetest person i know and would never do as you did and betray someone she considers to be a friend."

Alexis stood very still. I turned away from her and grabbed my phone. i dialed Deion's  number and waited from him to answer.

"Hello?"

"Ashley has been taken. We need to find her and end this now."

"I'm on my way with my pack."

i hung up the phone and sighed.

"I want to help." Alexis spoke.

"You've helped enough." i answered.

"Please. I want to make things right."

Ashley's Pov

I groaned as my mind suddenly cleared and awoke. The numbness feeling of my body slowly disappeared and i could feel the coldness of the chains that were wrapped around my body. I slowly lifted my head and looked at the women that stood before me.  

"Cassandra what do you want?" I asked dozy.

"I want you and your mother Achelois. I want the powers she possess and also the powers you were gifted with." She spoke.

i smirked,"That's going to be a little hard don't you think?"

"Not if you cooperate."

"You truly think i will set my mother up for failure?" 

"Oh i do not want her just yet. Right now i am focused on you." 

   The corners of her mouth curled up into a creepy smirk. I heard the cracking sound of the door opening and a man appeared behind Cassandra. 

"James. Please help her a little." She spoke.

  i watched as James walked over to me then behind me. He roughly grabbed a hand full of my hair and pulled my head back. I whimpered from the pain. 

Cassandra laughed, "James ill be back i have something to do. Do not kill her I still need her understood?" 

"Understood."

  His voice was rough and sent warning bells throughout my body. Remain strong. Zero will find me. 

"Time for a game. Show me what you got little girl." He whispered low in my ear. 

 Just feeling his skin pressed against mines made my flesh crawl. I mentally sighed and prepared for the worst. I felt a chill in the room as if the window was open. The air whipped around my body and my head. It felt like an instant tornado. I tried to scream but I couldn't. 

I couldn't breath. His power. This was his power. The air. My tried gasping for air but none made its way to me. I struggled against the chains but they wouldn't budge. He couldn't kill me so what was his game? The air subsided and he released my hair. He walked in front of me and smirked as i gasped for air to enter my lungs.   

He repeated this over and over and over until i finally passed out. I awoke to a brush of cold water against my skin. I opened my eyes to see James staring at me.

"You cannot pass out just yet." He spoke.

The air wrapped around my body like sharp knifes cutting deep into my skin. I screamed. 

"Do not scream show me the goddess within you!" 

Then it happened.....

A/N: short chapter ik but i hope you all enjoy and yes i am officially back  i have quite a few stories that i will be sharing with you all. Like i have about 7 that i have been writing in tablets all around my dorm room. But i hope you all enjoy until next time. And thank you to those who are still reading and supporting me through this.
