Quincy's POV
The boys left around 10:00 in the morning since they had a little morning skate and meeting this morning at the rink. I've just been hanging around the hotel, with Caden, all morning since there really wasn't anything else to do here and we didn't have to leave for the game until like 4ish.
"Want to go walk around downtown?" Caden asks me as he walks out from my bathroom.
"Might as well!" I say as I jump off the bed I was sitting on. I was only wearing a pair of black leggings and a patagonia long-sleeve t-shirt and I decided that was good enough. I slipped on a pair of converse and pulled my hair up into a loose topknot before following Caden out the door. Hopefully this little adventure with Caden will pass the time until tonight.
Brendan's POV
We just finished a good morning skate, making sure we were awake and our legs were loose. It was currently 12:15 and I was starving, so me and a few other guys decided to go grab a quick little lunch from somewhere nearby.
"Be back at the hotel ready to go by 4:00 so we can head over here to get a quick pregame meal and start preparations for the game. Go ahead and grab a small lunch or something but then make sure you relax. See you soon fellas," Michele says to us from the center of the visitors locker room.
I gather myself and follow Nathan and Alex out of the room, heading to the parking lot.
"My car," Lars says from behind us as he sprints to the front and towards his car. Us three follow him to the car laughing at his behavior.
"Fine then I call shotgun!" Nathan says as he takes off. I decide to not even run and obediently walk to the right side of Lars' car and climb in. Once we were all buckled and ready to go Lars pulled out of the parking lot and towards a little cafe not even 5 minutes away which we saw on our way to the rink in the morning.
"So how's things with Quincy?" Alex asks me to break the silence.
"What things?" I quickly defend, turning to face him.
"You like her, she likes you. It's obvious. I'm just curious as to what you're going to do about it," he smirks.
"Ya when are you going to ask her out?" Nathan asks from the front seat. I reach up and slap him on the head, then turn and slap Alex on the arm.
"It's none of your business. And nothing is going on, because nothing can go on," I say, with slight sadness in my voice, but mainly irritation.
"Well if you want to go for it, I won't tell Michele. You guys look like you belong together, I can just see it. Try it out and see where things go, as long as everything stays out of the public eye then you should be fine," Alex says with insight. The rest of the boys agree with him and I just sigh and nod my head. I do like Quincy, that much I know, and I want to take things to the next level with her. Could we do it? I decided that I would talk to her after my game, but until then my mind needed to stay focused on playing my best tonight.
Quincy's POV
I'm just walking behind Caden down the hallway, trailing him to our players bench by the rink. Graham made the announcement earlier that by the next game, he's going to leave just us by the players bench while he'll be watching the game from the medical room. He wants to see how we do when there's no leader and it's just us, so I'm really looking forward to the game coming up to say, the least. But right now I need to make sure I observe exactly what and how Graham does things so I'm fully prepared to be by myself coming up.
"Stay on the right side, I'll take left," Graham instructs as he moves behind the players on the bench to the left side. Caden and I stay on the right side and get situated for the beginning of the game. I set down my paperwork that I've been going over for the past hour down underneath my feet so they'll be available if I needed it in a hurry. I really hope there was nothing too serious in today's game although because I feel like there's been a lot of injuries lately.
