It's early Monday morning on the day of October 16th, the day my career actually begins. The Canadiens have their first game tonight at 6:00 P.M. at Bell Centre against the Canucks and I need to be there by 3:30 to meet Graham and to try to get the routine down. It's currently only 9:00 in the morning and I'm just now getting out of bed. Yesterday after my lunch with Brendan I got back here and collapsed because skating really does wear you out and I was very tired, so I just watched some movies and ordered room service for dinner. Today, just like yesterday, will also be very busy so I decide to get up now so I can get a head start on the day. I head into the bathroom and jump in the shower; I wash my hair, my face, shave, and then hop out and dry off. With a towel wrapped around my body I head to my suitcase sitting in the corner of the room and grab an outfit for the day. Michele called me yesterday to inform me of when I needed to be at the rink today and what I need to wear, he said 'Montreal casual'. He described Montreal casual as casual like jeans and stuff, but with Montreal gear like sweatshirts, hats or jackets. We need to look apart of the team he said. I was super happy with this and loved that we could dress casual and wear our Montreal gear, because I have a ton of it. I grab out a pair of dark Abercrombie skinny jeans and a Montreal canadiens long sleeve t-shirt, the t-shirt was red with a red and white C in the middle and 'Montreal Canadiens" written in white on top of it and then underlined in blue. I slip the outfit on, along with the proper undergarments of course, and also put on a pair white converse high tops to complete the look. I walk back into the bathroom and dry and straighten my hair, put on makeup, and do any other finishing touches. When I'm completely finished I look at the clock which reads 10:15. I decide to call Caden to see if he wanted to go out for food and then head to the stadium,
"Hey Quincy," Caden answers immiediently.
"Hey Caden. I was wondering if you wanted to go get some food together before we head to the stadium?" I ask.
"Yea that sounds great! I'm just finishing getting dressed so do you want to meet down in the lobby at 10:40?" he asks.
"That works. I'll see you down there," I say as we finish the conversation. I grab my trusty north face black vest and slip it on over my Canadiens shirt before grabbing my phone and wallet as well. I scroll through my phone, passing the time, before I get a call on my hotel phone.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Yes hello Quincy Anderson. This is the front desk speaking. We have a big box here for you that's coming from Acampo, California. Do you want us to send it up to your room?" The young man asks on the other line.
"Yes please that would be great!" I answer excitedly.
"Alright we will send it up shortly."
Yes my clothes are finally here! I can stop living out of a suitcase! I did a little dance around my hotel room before gathering myself and straightening my hair back down, I'm collected. I start to head out of my hotel room to meet Caden down in the lobby so we can go get food and then finally start the job we've been dreaming of.
Brendan's P.O.V.
"You ready for today?" Alex asks me from the other side of the couch we were both sitting on in my apartment.
"Hell yea!" I answer as I try to focus on the game of mario kart we were playing, I was winning.
"Good we better win," Alex continues to speak as we begin our last lap of Coconut Mall.
"I think we will," I reply bluntly.
"So what did you think of Quincy yesterday? Did you teach her how to skate?"
"YES!!!" I shout as I win yet another race. "Yea I did teach her to skate, she's actually decent now, and I think she's really nice and funny," I answer his question.
