So "Colours" was our first contest, and the deadline was two days ago. So yes, I'm aware that this announcement is late and I do apologise but I'm just kind of an unreliable asshole that way. However, I'm here now. Anyways, the contest was, as simply as I can put it, a challenge to create an entire story/poem centered or themed around a colour of your choice. I was worried that this would be a difficult idea to grasp but everyone seemed to do just fine. So, that being said, here are the winners.

First Place: Goes to *drum roll* @DustyMemory for their entry "Coffee" which was a warm poem about a cryptic love story and the colour brown.

Second Place: Goes to @NiallIs4Life for their entry "Purple Rebel." This too was a poem, highlighting the bold and fierce connotation of the colour purple.

Third Place: Goes to @1912003s (originally @HayaSMSM ) for their entry "Crystal Clear." This was was a longer piece, a multi-chapter story rather than a poem. A problematic romance telling the struggles of protagonist Cyan (a word for a greenish-blue colour) and his lover Cerise (which is a deep and vivid red). I thought that character names instead of actual colours was an interesting way to approach the theme and they did a good job incorporating it.

So I've already followed and added the winning stories and will get to the critiquing soon. I hope everyone who entered had fun with this first contest and I assure you the next will be up soon. (Not another two days late haha...).
