Who do I Trust?

After a long night of the ol' folks yellin' at ya; you decided to go to Cherry's for the night, you couldn't stand another minute of the yellin'. It was 9pm. You walk in the door "hey Cherry it's just me." You holler so she'll hear. Her parents were gone away for a month on vacation. You head to her room. You see her sittin' on her bed, she looks sad. "Cherry what's wrong?" You question her. "There's uh somethin' I gotta tell you, (y/n)." She sounds a little upset to. You sit on the bed beside her and place a gently yet calming hand on her knee. "Yeah of course Cherry, tell me anything. Ya know we're best friends." She smiles slightly and says, "but you won't be too happy.." She says lookin' down. "Cherry what is this about?" You say getting a little freaked out. "Well when I went to see Ponyboy today he um-" "Cherry spit it out, what the hell happened?" You're freaking out. "Ponyboy kissed me!" She blurted out. You're speechless. You honestly need a minute to think. It's silent for a while and then you speak up. "No." You say. "What do you me-" "it's not true." You interrupt. "Cherry, Ponyboy would give up the world for me. There's no way he would do that to me." Your eyes are slowly filling up with water. "Well believe it, cuz it's true." She says shamefully. Your eyes start burning as the tears are building up faster and faster. "After everything we've been through." You can barely finish your sentence as you break down into a helpless bawling mess. Your head falls into Cherry's lap and she starts stroking your head. You take a deep breath, "I thought he was the right one for me, ya know." You manage to say before you start sobbing again. "I know," she says still stroking your head, "I guess him and Bob weren't very different." She shrugs. The tears slowly start to go away and you start toughening up. You sit up to look at Cherry, "You didn't kiss him back." "No, no, no! Of course not! How could you even think that for a second!" She exclaims. "Well, I don't know, I was thinkin' bout' the possibilities." You say wiping away the last few tears. You and Cherry decide sleep is probably the best thing right now. You get in bed and start cryin' again. You end up cryin' yourself to sleep.

     The next morning you wake up. Cherry's gone and you see a note on her dresser. You drag yourself out of bed and walk over to the note. The note reads: Hey (y/n) I just had some errands to run. I'll be home home tonight xoxo. - Cherry. You finished reading the note and you heard a grumble. You were hungry. You head down to the kitchen to fix yourself some breakfast. After breakfast you threw on some clothes and thought as mad and sad as you were you needed to confront Ponyboy.

     You arrive at Pony's house and barge in. "Hey (y/n)." Soda says cheerfully. But you're too angry to reply and just rush to Pony's room. Soda looks at Darry "What's up with her?" Darry just shrugs. You slam the door behind you and Pony gets startled and throws his book. "Hey baby, don't scare me like that." He says gently. "Stop acting! I know you kissed Cherry!" You blurt out at him. "Wait what're ya goin' on about?" He asks. "Ponyboy Curtis don't lie to my face!" You yell at him. He sits up, "I ain't lyin' I did not kiss Cherry Valance. Now I don't know what she told you but it's not true." He says. You start cryin'. You're a mess again but right in front of Ponyboy. "Listen (y/n), Cherry came in an kissed me, I pushed her away but she kept comin' back and she was sayin' I should be datin' her and not you. She called you a dirty little greaser and I defended you. Ya know id do anything for you." He starts tearing up. "Well one of you is lyin' and I don't know who to trust!" You yell. "Cherry's been my best friend since I was a lil' kid and you are the person I trust my life with," you start pacing back and forth, "I just don't know what to do." You look at him and cry. "Come here, sweetheart." He reaches his arms out for a hug but you just can't not like this, not right now. "I'm sorry." You say shakin' you're head. You open Ponyboy's bedroom door to leave and Sodapop and Darry fall inside. They were listening the whole time. You turn to Pony and say "we're all meetin' up here to talk in an hour," you look at Darry and Soda gettin' up, "alright?" You question them. They all nod and you storm out.

     It's been an hour and you found Cherry at the diner and you took her with you. You explained to her what was happening on the way there. You were furious with her and Ponyboy both.
     You arrived at their house and you walk in and slip your shoes off. You see a seat in between Sodapop and Two-bit so you sit there. Before Cherry can find a seat Ponyboy speaks up, "I just have one question, (y/n). Why don't you believe me and you believe Cherry? How could ya even think for a second that I'd do that to ya, especially after what we've been through." He's starting to sound mad. Cherry walks behind his chair "but how could you doubt me? I've been yer best friend for ages! You should be able to trust me an' not some boy you met a couple weeks ago." Pony's real mad. "You liar!" He yells. "You're the liar!" She yells back. You're extremely confused, who do you trust? Of course to make things worse Cherry sits on the arm of the chair that Pony was in and they were really close. You were furious so you needed revenge. You place your hand on Sodas thigh and slowly move it onto his upper thigh. Pony was enraged. He pulls Cherry closer to him and kisses her on the cheek then looks at you pretty much asking for your next move. You honestly could not take anymore of this. Watching Cherry and Pony together made you feel sick. You turn to face Soda and sit on his lap facing him on the couch. You grab the collar of his flannel and pull his face roughly towards yours and kiss him. His eyes are wide but he slowly melts into it and closes his eyes and kisses you back. You knew Soda always had a thing for ya. You slowly pull away and smirk at Soda you put your mouth to his ear and whisper "I knew you always had a thing for me, isn't that right Soda. That's why you let me touch your thigh." I pull away and it's hard for Soda to hide it. I get off his lap and sit back down. Pony shakes his head and throws Cherry off of him. He stands up and runs. "Where is he?-" Cherry points to the door without finishing her question. "To find Johnny." Darry and Two-bit say. You stand up, wink at Soda, and head to the bathroom. Soda just sits as Darry whisper yells "How could you!?" "Darry you know I've had a crush on her since before I dropped outta school and even before Pony knew she existed!" He whisper yells back. Steve and Two-bit are just saying "oh my god." Back in forth. This was crazy for everyone.
Darry nods at Soda. "You're gonna have to be talkin' to Pony bout' this." "Yeah, I know, Darry." He tilts his head down. Cherry smirks. "Hey! Why so smug soc?" Steve yells at her. "No reason." She shrugs. You could hear them sayin' that.. Oh my god. You think. Was it Cherry after all?
