Chapter 2:A secret from the past

"Maya where even is Keegan?"

"I can't say. I promised her."

"Well, his dad will come for him and since you are the only one who knows where he is, they will hurt you till you tell them."

"I know. I know. He's safe that's all that matters."

"No, you can't keep him from his dad. Natalia did this out of hatred towards him. Not to keep her son safe, and we all know it. He got her killed, so she took away his son. I love my sister, but if you don't tell Jake they will come for you and it won't end well."

Maya looked at me. Her face going pale, her faced dropped. All in all she looked like she was about to be sick. She had kept this secrets for so long, she had promised. It had been Natalia's dying wish. But Maya knew as well as I did we had to give Trevor back his son.

"Fine but will you take me to Jake, I don't want to go alone. He's sill mad at me." She sighed knowing she should have just told him.

"I hate that place.." I trailed off " the only way I'll go is if I get to see my nephew before he goes."

"I'll try, but it's honesty all up to Jake."

We left my apartment and headed for the car. My little shit of a car, was my baby. I had her for eight years Natalia had gotten it for me and I couldn't get rid of it. It was the last piece of her I had left.
As we drove Maya talked the whole way. Out of no where Eryx name came out her mouth.

"You know we don't talk about him. I can't stand him."

"But why? What happened, you never told me what made you hate him some much."

We pulled into the driveway leading to the big house. I shut off the car and turned toward her.

"Want to know fine. When we were still in high school, you know I absolutely adored Eryx. But he was an asshole just like all his friends. They'd call me fat or Cow as I walked by. Stupid little names, I never let it bother me. I didn't care. But then one of them thought it was okay to get someone to take an almost nude picture of me and slip a copy into every locker around school. Hundreds were in my locker. The whole school just staring and laughing at me. I ran out of the school so fast I couldn't breath. I was crying harder then I knew was possible.."

"I didn't know, I can just go in by myself. You don't have to come with me." Maya said as she took my hand and squeezed it a little.

"They ruined me so much, I hardly ate after that. I never left my room. Natalia was all I had, but then in a blink of an eye she was gone." I said a tear sliding down my cheek.

"They're lucky I didn't go to that school. I'd beat a bitches ass. But Annamira I'm here and I'm not going anywhere I promise." Shes said as she leaned to hug me.

We both got out slamming the doors behind us. We got the the door and walked in. Maya led me through the crowd of drunk,probably high people. I followed her down the stairs to the quite hall leading to Jakes office. Maya knocked twice and was told to come in.

Jake looked between us. Just a blank expression on his face.

"Sit girls." He said pointing to the chairs.

"I'll tell you where he is but Annamira gets to see him first." Maya said lowly

"That's your real name?" Eryx said from behind us.
He had came in quietly, I hadn't even heard the door open.

"Yeah it is now shut up." Maya spoke, looking straight at her boyfriend in front of her.

"Fine. Eryx take Maya to get him. Mira can stay with me till you get back. How far is he."
