We had driven for over an hour. We ended up in a place called Estonia. It was on the outskirts of Ashbourne. Casimir hopped out of the car and opened my door. He offered a hand. I pushed it away and got out. I heard him sigh. We were outside an abandoned warehouse. I looked around. No houses or buildings for miles. Great. What if Casimir wasn't really Casimir? What if this was the dark force tricking me?
Those thoughts quickly melted away when I noticed Casimir playing with a string bracelet around his wrist. The one I made him. All those years ago. He walked towards the building. I stood unsure what to do. I could run? I could go home? But where is home?
"Come on Sky!" He shouted. I ran after him. The ground was mucky. I groaned in disgust when I realised my white ballet pumps were not suitable. They were turning an awful brown colour. I tiptoed the rest of the way to the doors, trying not to stand in puddles and mud.
"Ew ew ew ew ew." I said to myself every time I heard a squelch. Mud went flying over my dress. I actually screamed in horror.
"EW!" I cried. Then I heard the snickering. I looked up. Casimir and two other boys were laughing at me. I burned up with anger. I looked around. There was a water hose on the side of the wall. I summoned the water. I directed the water right at the boys drenching them all. They yelled in protest. I let the water slow down. I walked over to them and examined them.
"Have you been swimming?" I asked. Casimir scowled. I smirked. I lifted the water again.
"It's coming!" One of the boys yelled and they all ducked. I rolled my eyes. I made the water come to me. I held it in front of me while I began to wash the front of my dress. I let the water go and the hose fell to the ground with a thud. I called upon the wind. A warm breeze blew around me warming me up, and drying me. I fluffed my hair. The water made a mirror in front of me. I scowled at my reflection. My hair was a birds nest. I held out a hand and a stalk of leaves grew. I took a stalk and held it in between my hands. I focused on the earth. The stalk stretched and re shaped. It had become a hair band. I tied up my hair and sighed in satisfaction. I looked up finally only to realise, the boys were watching me. Casimir grinned.
"Come on Skylie." He said. I followed them in. The warehouse wasn't so shabby. There were made up beds. A small training area. Kitchen. Bathroom. And was that a..... Sofa?
"Ok Nicholas, Ethan. This is Skylar. Sky? These are my friends. Ethan and Nicholas."
Nicholas was a tall brown haired boy. His skin was caramel. He had eyes of bright blue sapphires. His necklace was jet black. I shifted away from him. He grinned when he noticed my fear. He held out a hand.
"Hey. It's nice to meet you Skylar!" His voice was deep.
"Hi." I said shyly.
Ethan was a blonde haired boy. The tips of his hair frosted white. His stone pure white.
"Hi Skylar." He said. He seemed more nicer. And gentler. When I shook his hand I was rewarded with ice cold skin. I gasped and pulled back. He grinned. "My gift is ice." He said softly. I nodded.
I looked around.
"You like it?" Casimir asked. I scoffed.
"It needs a girls touch." I said. They groaned. I used my gifts. I made sofa pillows out of leaves. I weaved them together. I made fresh water flood the sink. I filled the bottles with the water. I heated the room up with a small fire in the middle. Using air I made all the dust particles fly away.
I sighed and turned. They looked around in amazement. I smirked.
"What's your gift?" Ethan asked. I ran my hand through my hair.
"The elemental gifts." My voice was barely a whisper.
"Did she just say elemental? She didn't say elemental. Don't tell me she said elemental!" Nicholas said. I nodded.
"Well Skylie. It seems as though we have a lot of work to do." Casimir said. I blew out a breathe and nodded. Time to get to work.
