Skylar POV

"Stop opening the windows Nik!" I shouted.
"Gosh! Stop shouting woman!" He yelled back.
I rolled my eyes and leaned my head against the seat. We sat in silence as we  drove away from the burning building. How did we get here?

Flashback

What was wrong with me?
Ok I was extremely hurt with the fact Casimir was protecting me, not because he's my friend, but because he was forced to.
I actually thought he cared.
But now I see he doesn't.
He only cares about the fame and pride after.
I snapped my fingers. Water surrounded my body. The water created a beautiful blue and white sparkly dress. Little dew drops hung off the neckline.
I walked around not giving a care in the world.
I heard Nik and Ethan say something to Casimir before they walked out of the warehouse. I looked up. Nik gave me a kind caring smile.
"You ok?" He asked.
"So you guys have no idea on how to protect me and yet they forced you guys to do it?" I gave a cold and mocking laugh.
He looked at me in concern.
"Sky..."
I held up a hand.
"No. Don't Skylar me! I'm hurt. I'm annoyed. And most of all? I'm scared! IM SCARED NICHOLAS. AND NONE OF YOU ARE HELPING!" I shouted.
His arms wrapped around my body.
I pushed away, but my pushing and shoving had no affect. I collapsed into his hard chest. He stroked my hair.
"I know your scared. I know your annoyed. And I know your hurt. I know we aren't helping. But we are trying. We've never looked after someone. Especially a girl. We've only looked out for each other. But I swear. I will help you. So will Ethan. We can get you through this!"
I noted how he didn't mention Casimir. I was about to hug him. But her face flashed through my mind.
Emilia.
She was the last person I hugged. Now she was gone. She was perfect. Innocent. Beautiful. Nobody could fill that gap. I dropped my arms to my side.
I heard a sigh.
Before I could search for the source of the sigh I felt it.
Darkness.
Despair.
Evil.
I jumped back, away from Nicholas.
"What? What is it?" His body straightened as he saw my scared expression.
I looked around, ignoring his question.
It was around here.
Whatever IT was.
Everything looked normal.
Quiet.
Peaceful.
Happ... Wait. My eyes widened.
"WHAT. IS. THAT?!" I pointed at the black mist that swam through the trees. Nicholas looked at it. I knew what it was and answered my own question.
"ITS THE DARK EVIL FORCE." I shouted.
I suddenly found myself over Nicholas's shoulder. He began running.
"TIME TO GO!" He yelled.
Ethan ran out with Casimir. They saw the mist and were suddenly loaded with black rucksacks. We began to run towards the car. I looked up and watched. The mist surrounded the warehouse. I saw a small light ignite inside. Then it grew.
"He's... Burning it." I whispered. The building burned. The mist began throwing debris and bricks our way. I held up my hands. The ground rose creating a hill between us. The mist floated around it and carried on with its advance. I narrowed my eye and concentrated. I made the air around us grow in pressure. The temperature increased. The now got hot and cold winds rushed around and mixed together. The mist was sucked into the vortex.
We got into a black SUV. I turned in my seat and looked at the destruction.
The building on fire.
Me and the guys driving away.
A sense of déjà vu settled on me.
5 days ago I was driving away from a building building. My home.
Now 5 days later, I was driving away from my new home.
This time? I felt something inside me snap.
I felt different.
My eyes narrowed.
I won't let Emilia die in vain.
