Skylar POV
I felt something. Darkness. I didn't know where I was going.
But my body seemed to know.
I hit the gas. My mind clouding over.
My eyes growing darker.
My hands tightening on the wheel.
I drove faster and faster down the highway.
I turned off.
A cave.
I got out.
I slammed the door.
I blinked and shook my head.
The boys had gotten out.
"Sky? Why are we here?" Ethan asked gently.
"It's here."
They didn't ask what I meant. They understood.
I walked towards the cave.
I held my hand up.
The rocks were covering up the entrance.
At my commands, the rocks tumbled to the ground like dominos. I smiled slightly.
Walking over the rocks, I made a small flame in the palm of my hand. I lit the way.
We walked further into the cave.
Nobody was around. Nobody was talking. It was scary.
I saw a small trickle of water running down the wall. I looked around and saw a small cup. I looked between them.
The cup didn't move off the rock. But I knew I was somehow supposed to get the water into the cup.
I raised my finger. I bent the water. The water changed direction. Inside of going down to the ground it floated through the air and into the cup.
I waited for it to fill.
The cup began to glow.
The rock on which the cup sat down on, sunk down.
The wall moved. I smiled.
We carried on walking through.
I past two more tests.
One that involves fire and the other involved air.
We got to a circular room. In the middle was a table. I walked over to it cautiously.
The elemental symbols were etched into the stone. I touched it.
"OW!" I cried as I felt a current of electricity flow through my hands.
I felt the boys reach for me.
"Sky!"
"Are you ok?"
"Is it a spider?!"
That last remark was from Nicholas. Even though he is some big, tall, scary dude... He is scared of spiders. Yeah...
I gave them a look but was touched by their concern. I made sure not to show it though.
"Hello Skylar." Said a voice. We jumped and turned around.
"Er... Hello?" I squeaked. There was a soft tinkly sound.
"Oh sweetie. Don't be so frightened." The voice said. I looked forward.
A small light flickered and glowed in the air. It grew.
My eyes widened as I realised it was a woman.
Her features were angelic.
Her eyes gold around her pupil.
She wore a flowing white gown.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"My name is Azura. I am your great ancestor. And I am the last Gifted to be born with the Elements." Her voice was pure and musical. Her hair was glossy, silky black.
"I was the last Elemental Princess..." She had a silver tiara that looked like flowers. In the centre was a single gem with the colours red blue white and green.
She placed it on my head.
Immediately I felt power and peace flow through me. I looked at my hands. They were slightly glowing. She smiled at me.
"But... I don't understand... The prophecy?" I spoke. Confusion clear on my face and in my voice.
She cupped my cheeks.
"Oh Skylar..."
Her voice was sympathetic.
"Don't you see?"
I shook my head. "See what?"
"Your not the first Elemental Princess in history Skylar."
Realisation hit me.
"This isn't the first time the Dark Force has targeted a Gifted..."
"History is repeating itself.." I finished.
"And this time? It's going to finish with you." Her voice faded away as her form disappeared.
I turned to the boys.
"I'm the last Elemental Princess."
