Nothing hurt.

She though it would, but nothing did.

The gravel, the cement, the rocks beneath her feet, they didn't hurt. She could feel, that they were what they were, but it felt as if she already had shoes.

(Y/N) stared at her feet.

She was walking, walking, and she stopped at the (Hospital), where she was born.

She could remember that, her mother used to tell her how she was such a trouble maker during her schooling days, and that she was a trouble maker at birth too.

Her mother.

(Y/N) sighed. She walked into the hospital as the doors were open quietly, because she didn't want anyone to notice her. She was worried, that someone would, because her feet were bare and she looked like she woke up on the streets.

(Y/N) saw doctors, nurses, but no one seemed to notice her walk in. They were probably busy, so (Y/N) walked on.

She didn't know what she would do at a hospital, she hadn't been to one since she was born, which was the only time she assumed she could have gone to one. She walked down hallways, careful not to bump into any of the nurses or doctors, and she stared at the various encouragement posters on the walls.

Get well soon!

Have a nice day!

(Y/N) smiled as she continued to walk down the what seemed like an endless hallway, admiring the love she could feel just from pieces of paper.

I was busy going through the stacks of paper lined beside me. They needed to be signed by the next meeting, and I had to do it quickly because there were many more lives to save.

I wish I could just shut my eyes and sleep.

Last night's surgery really drained my energy, more than I would have liked.

I sighed.

I finished it all up and stacked it nicely, smiling because I felt accomplished that I managed to do something even though my brain felt like it was about to go into hypersleep.

Hypersleep. I wish I could go into hypersleep.

I looked at my watch, it was about three minutes to lunch break, and lunch break was another hour to the meeting.

Okay, there was time to sleep.

I placed the papers down onto my desk, and went over to the sofa in my office.

My office was large I realised, needless to say huge. I was the head of the surgery team, and I was glad I was. There were many reasons why I became a surgeon, but they were another story all together. It wasn't something I would talk about.

I opened my bag that was placed at the side of the sofa, taking out my wallet and then standing up straight, stretching.

My back.

Mother fucking ass, that felt good.

I stopped, walking towards the door and grabbing the doorknob, while texting my colleague, Felix.

Felix: Hey Sean, you coming down for lunch today? Or are busy with the papers? I can help you get something if you want.

You: No it's okay. I'm coming.

I opened the door, closing it carefully the moment I stepped out and looking up in case Wade came to surprise me again with another one of his stupid pranks. I wondered if Wade was going to surprise me at all.

He didn't.

But she did.

She always did.
