(Y/N) wanted to do something. Anything. Sean was crying. Why was he crying?

He wasn't crying, not really. It was just a tear. Maybe it was the light that made his eyes dry, or maybe he yawned without her looking. She prayed he wasn't crying.
(Y/N) couldn't afford seeing her best friend cry.

She wanted to do something. She shuffled in her seat, feeling uncomfortable.

"I'm going. I'll be outside." (Y/N) said. She swore she could see Sean turn his head slightly in her direction, his eyes following her, but it was only for a second or two. Felix, she could vaguely remember, must have hated her, because he didn't even say hi.

She couldn't remember what happened three and a half years ago. Did Sean lose someone important?

Things were filling up in her brain, but they were like little ripples. She couldn't decipher them.

She walked out and sat on the floor outside the cafeteria. No one noticed her anyway. (Y/N) assumed everyone was too busy to care, which she assured herself it was fine. She didn't need people to care for her.

She stood up again. Jack would still be at the hospital till the end of the day, she hoped, because no one ends work so early, if he was even a doctor, so she had time before he left. For now, (Y/N) needed to do something really quick first.

She had to find Mark.

(Y/N) wandered on the streets, although she realised it wasn't such a great idea. How was she going to find Mark on the streets?

She wondered if she should turn back, go back to Sean, but Sean might cry again. She didn't want to see Sean cry again, she just couldn't.

"Fuck, watch where you're going you..." (Y/N) felt someone bump into her, but she trailed off after seeing those brown eyes of a man, red firey hair, that face that...

Fuck.

It's Mark.

"Mark!" (Y/N) said, but more of a sigh, because she was relieved she didn't have to abort her mission. She saw him look up from his phone, and his face was surprised, the happy kind.

Then he frowned.

Then he looked angry.

Then he looked sad.

"Mark, what's wrong?" she asked, confused. Did he hate her?

"(Y/N), please, just go away. Stop haunting me... please... just stop. I don't know why you keep visiting but stop. Please. Don't visit me anymore. Stop. I... I can't talk to you." Mark said softly, like it hurt him, like he was so broken, so afraid, and there was genuine fear circling in his eyes.

(Y/N) heard every word.

"Mark what do you mean? What do mean I keep visiting you? I just really wanted to hang out with you... Why..." but before (Y/N) could finish, Mark had already walked past her and gone back to looking at his phone.

He was wearing a tux, and like Sean he looked so... so old. He looked so tired and he was sinking into this dark grey circle she didn't know was possible to even go.

"Mark. Wait."
