July 23 day 6
we woke up in the bomb shelter laying across each other. legs over faces, arms over torsos. but we were safe, so we all slept well.
we got up and shuffled around, grabbed our guns and prepared to open the door. I walked out first. holding my gun ready to fire. I saw nothing and beckoned for the others to come out.
everyone wandered around for a while and nothing happened. we split up some going further in others going outside my group went out side. odd... the door was open! we saw something, something that almost made me pass out. the gate was opened again.
I closed the gate and ran inside the rest of my group following, searching for the others to warn them. I was with my original group of Lilly, spencer, and Alex.
searching, Alex called out but no one replied. we kept running and I made a sharp turn.
the floor crumbled under me and I started to fall. time slowed and I couldn't feel anything under me. I felt a tug on my arm. it was Spencer, he was pulling me up, hanging on, fear in his eyes.
he yelled for help so he didn't fall with me. they grabbed him and pulled me up from over the edge. He pulled me to safety with the help of Alex and Lucy.
I sat there surprised, and shocked. He sat there beside me asking if I was okay, "I'm fine!" was the only thing I could say.
I saw a shadow flicker in the distance, a light beam ran across the floor. maybe it was the others! or maybe...
He turned the corner and saw us, he couldn't move. Worn and dirty he creeped back as if we hadn't seen us.
As far as I could tell he was un-armed.
I stood slowly no one else had seen him, I walked towards the corner pulling out my knife incase he attacked.
I looked around and he was gone.
