Kiya's P.O.V.
A week had passed since we were signed. We went back to the studio and discussed the release of our debut album with Epitaph, and more excitingly were instructed to find ourselves a good band manager. I guess that was long overdue. Skar had always taken care of the band's work because she was the only one of us who had taken business classes when we were in school. Now that we were signed, we could actually afford the luxury of a manager. Skar didn't seem to be in a hurry to find anyone.
"KIYA!" I heard a voice say from the living room. I had been lying in my bed thinking over my newfound love for the universe.
"Yes Monte?"
"Come out here and look at this!"
I stood up and stretched, nearly passing out from the quick movement. I stepped into my slippers and padded into the living room. I laughed out loud at what I saw. There, lying in the middle of the floor, was Skar, Max, and Jacky with the T.V. playing the title screen to Pink Floyd's The Wall. Skar was laying Scarface style between the two band members, with Max intertwining his legs with her's and Jacky curled against her chest, apparently using her boob as a pillow. Her eyes cracked at the sound of my laugh.
"Ummm.....Jacky?" she said as she prodded him with her finger. Jacky glanced up, down at her boob, and back up again. He didn't move. Skar shoved him off of her, almost too violently to be a joke.
"Get off my tits, you doorknob."
At that, Max stirred and stretched over to hug Skar protectively. She must have been pretty groggy, because she turned and buried her head in his chest. Seconds later, she started snoring softly. I looked over to Monte. He took a picture and sent it to Robert and Craig before turning to me.
"I think they're going to be like that for awhile. Do you guys want to get breakfast?" I asked. At that exact moment, my phone started to ring.
I don't want to be demanding, I just wanna know the reasons why
We live and die in a world of lies.
Addicted to the way we crash and burn,
I gave it all away now it's your turn.
Watching me watching you, don't wanna see the worst in you,
So don't let it come true.
"Hey Craigifer," I answered. I instantly cringed at the nickname and hope he wouldn't question it.
"Craigifer?"
"Let's just forget I said that one. What's up?"
"I got Monte's text. I know Skar is the cook around there, do you guys want to come over for breakfast?" I glanced at the clock and realized it was already 9 in the morning. I took my mouth away from the phone.
"Want to go to Craig's for food?" I asked the two. They both nodded, but I couldn't help but notice Jacky's longing glance at Skar. It would be an interesting relationship to watch play out. Max matched her fiery, spontaneous personality, but Jacky was as mysterious and unique as her. I know who she would pick, even if she didn't, but it was going to be tough for all of them.
"Yeah, we'll be there in a second."
We all walked out to my whale. It only was a two-seater, so Monte rode in the back. I was a little nervous to be alone with Jacky because in the little time we had known each other we had only spoken one on one once. I swallowed my fear and turned up the radio a little bit. A familiar tune began to play.
"Well I'm not a vampire but I feel like one,
sometimes I sleep all day because I hate the sunlight.
