The next morning, I had awoken in the comforts of my bedsheets. My head was pounding badly, bruises were laid along my upper area of my arms, and a few small ones on my stomach. My alarm clock went off, the annoying beep beep beep sound rung through my ears, slamming my hand down to have it shut up. I yawned tiredly, 4:30am. That's enough time to fix myself up before taking a trip around the city with Axel, boy I wished I hadn't been forced to walk with him and his buddies. I had did a daily routine, putting my brunette hair up in a ponytail, letting the bangs hang in front of my face, just enough to have me at least see. I walked over to the closet, countlessly flipping through shirts, finally picking out a white shirt with the word 'Paris' written across it. I wore a black hoodie over it to cover up the bruises that were visible, and tan khaki pants and black converse.
"Be ready in 5, we're leaving also in 5!" Axel had called out through the walls.
"Sure, I guess." I called back in response. I turned my back and grabbed my adventure backpack. I had shoved my Pentax camera, a flask to keep my water cold for large amounts of hours, a flashlight, gloves, half gas mask, and a bunch of useful things that would be suitable for a trip like this, like a portable charger. I slipped the straps onto my shoulders, and headed downstairs where Axel was surprisingly waiting. He had his hands in his pockets as he looked up.
"Ready?" He asked quietly, as I nodded. We both headed out the door where we gathered up with a group of his buddies, that involved tough looking jocks and slutty looking chicks off the streets. I hid behind Axel, afraid of every single one of them, making them as strangers to me, but apparently, a known person to them.We walked for what seemed like endless hours, my feet grew numb from all the walking. We traveled through abandoned buildings, dark, shady forests, talk grass fields, and a few 'no trespassing' gates but they were already old and broken down. Our last destination was another abandoned building, just down the dark alley way, where I assume their were druggies. They wanted to wrap up their night with a little of destruction, so at least 65% of the group had brought baseball bats, metal crowbars, and other things. The dark alley way's concrete was wet from the gloomy day before today, and a bit of earlier. The sounds of squishing and squeaking from our shoes, echoed through the quiet area.
"I got this." Axel spoke, as he tugged at the lock, before he stepped back, putting in masses amount of force to knock the door down with only his right leg. We all stepped in, pulling out my flashlight to shine against the walls. Axel warned me to turn off my light incase we would get caught, but it's obvious that no where is safe anymore, so I refused. Few of his buddies were breaking a bunch of things, glass had shattered along the floor, chunks of old pieces of wood and pets of dirt fell from the ceilings. Axel was too busy pushing me around, while a guy had shouted out for backup.
"He has a gun!" The other guy called out before gunshots were fired. Each of them were shot down by different people. I had taken cover, tripping a few times to get to safety in a dark corner of the room. The glasses has cut parts of my clothes opened, my skin was slit and blood was slowly forming, easily wounded. I cried quietly, as I looked up. A giant panda bear, had shot one of the jocks down, another with a baby head had tackled the ladies, my brother laid helplessly on the floor, but struggled to get up and run away.
"Now now, is that a proper way to treat, a young, beautiful girl?" A male voice called out.
"Get the fuck away, you creep! I can treat her bad if I wanted to!" Axel shouted at a person, but I couldn't see who he was shouting out from my point of view, I was busy hiding behind a table.
"Are ya sweet talkin' me? All that chit chat gonna get ya hurt." The man spoke as he stepped forward. The mysterious man was pale, he had red lips, and his laid back hair was green. He had tattoos among him, as he wore a marooned button up, with grey jacket over it and a matching tie. He deadly stared down at my brother. "Take him away." He spoke fiercely. "Sure thing, boss." All of his gang took Axel away to punish him, they were no where in sight. The only people in this abandoned hell was me and this mysterious guy, who stood in silence.
I panted, I shifted a bit before my knee had hit against the table, groaning out in pain as I clutched my knee up to my chest, a few tiny glass noises filled through the rooms. In seconds I could hear footsteps getting closer and closer, as the man had looked over the table and found me, having a small smile on his face, but a prt of him looked a little worried.
"Ah, there you are!" He spoke in soft voice, going around to carry me into his arms. I cried like I was scared, which deep down I am terrified that he might hurt me. The man, carried me to a different room, one that didn't looked all messed up. He had placed me on top of the wooden counter where he examines each of my cuts before cleaning it and patching it up. My head slightly turned to see different guns on another counter, my body twitched from the pain.
"A-ah~" I called out quietly. "Sorry." He murmured, as he went a little more gentle. "W-who are you~?" I finally spoke, after long minutes of silence. The man hovered in front of me, his eyes had caught my attention as he smiled. "Joker. But, you can call me Mr.J. And you, darling?" He had a sweet, gentle voice, but part of it was a bit serious.
"Sylvia~" I paused for a moment, his face was searching deeply for my expressions. "Sylvia Rosen." I finally spoke. "What a wonderful name." He smiled. My cheeks, grew a tinted pink, I had never been treated this nicely by anyone in my life, it felt really great.
"Darling, you're coming with me, for the better. You're living with me now, I'll treat you better than whoever that guy was. Have you got any friends?~"
"N-no sir." I spoke softly."Well, you just got yourself a friend." The Joker smiled, as he gripped my hand and helped me up. I think we'll get along just fine.
