Cursed Wings

Chapter 1

I hear the honking of my moms car and rush to the door and put my shoes on and glance one last time in the mirror my blonde hair in a pony tail and my green eyes lined with a little bit kohl and lips are coated with a little bit of gloss.

Giving myself a little nod I pick my backpack and run outside and get in my mother's car .

"Your going to be late again " She says a bit frustrated.

"Sorry mom I slept through my alarms." I say a little bit embarrassed .

"Alright " My mom says a little amused.

"What?" I ask.

"That's the exact excuse your father uses for being late like father like daughter " She says with a little bit of smile grazing her lips

I look at my mom her beautiful brown hair is put up in a bun and her forest green eyes twinkling with amusement and her plump lips hold a slight smile . My mother is really beautiful .

"We're here honey have a great day " She says smiling .

"Yeah mom you too" I say

As I  get out of the car and get inside hell that is "Scarlet High School" I see Livia Cardoso walking by my best friend .I march up to her she looks engrossed in a book . Her dark black hair is down in natural waves and her intensely blue eyes on the pages of that book. She really is gorgeous

"Hey Liv what are you doing ?" I ask and her nearly jumps .

"Oh my god Avril you nearly scarred the life out of me don't do that " She says with her hand on her heart.

"So what are you reading?" I ask with a goofy smile.

"Its a book  Mrs.steel  gave me for literature club I have to write a review on it "She says still looking at the book .

"Whats your first class for today?" I ask not really to what she said after hearing the word book club.

"Math what about you?" She asks finally looking up.

"I have Biology ; oh god why biology in the morning hope we don't teach about guts this early in the day"I say with a shiver.

Liv starts to laugh at that we talk for a bit more and she leaves for her class . The day goes by and lunch comes around .  Me and Liz  sit on our usual spot and start to eat .

"Isn't he cute ?" Liv asks looking behind me I shift so that I can see who she is talking about and see that she is talking about Lucas . He is wearing black jeans and a grey hoddie his brown eyes focused on what he is doing and he runs is hands in his thick brown curls .

"Lucas Nussbaum ?"I ask her
in disbelief.

"Yeah you know him? " She asks shocked.

"He works in my mother's flower shop " I tell her and her eyes widen

" I didn't know that you knew him"She tells me with a pout

"I can set you to up if you want me to" I tell her with a huge smile thus rarely happens when she is actually interested in a guy and doesn't reject him within two mins.

"No if anything does happen I want it to be because of me and not because you recommending me " She tell me with a sigh

"Oh no you don't " I tell knowing all to well whats going in her mind.

"But......."She hesitates

"No buts we will go to my mom's flower shop today" I tell her

"But...." She starts  again but stops as soon as she sees my expression .

Thats more like it I give her an encouraging smile . The rest of the day just goes by and finally its time to go home .

We both get into my moms car and she greets my mom .

"Hey Mrs.Herz " She says smiling .

"Livia please call me Anna " Mom says smiling at us through the rare view mirror .

This is going to be fun.
