The bell goes, signalling the end of lunch, and I hurry to my locker to get my things for my next class - Drama.
I know I've taken too long looking for my pencil case when the bell goes again notifying us we need to be in class. Now. I finally find it and rush to my classroom.
"Miss Smith. You're late." Miss Dunfield points out.
Oh really? I didn't notice. Thank you for pointing out the obvious.
"Yes, I know, I'm sorry. I won't let it happen again." I answer hurrying to my seat.
"Which will be why you'll be seeing me after class." She says.
Suddenly Jackson saunters through the door.
Miss Dunfield sighs and looks over at the door. "Mister Montgomery. You're late."
"Yeah whatever." He says and sits at a table in the far corner.
"You will also be seeing me after class. Now anyway as I was saying..."

"You two will be in the school play." Miss Dunfield says to Jackson and I.
I shrug, not too fussed. I'm glad actually. I like plays. But it seems Jackson isn't too happy.
"What?!" He shouts. "I'm not in the school play."
"Auditions are tomorrow after school. Now go home you two."
I leave the classroom and Jackson storms out behind me.
Did he just growl? Boys..
I head straight to my locker where Justine is standing. "Hey." I say and open my locker, grabbing out my bag and other essential stuff for homework.
"Where were you? Why were you in the drama room alone with that thing?" She questions and snarls at Jackson, walking down the hall.
"Chill. We were both late and so Miss Dunfield wanted to talk to us after class. So now we have to audition for the school play tomorrow after school." I shrug. I don't know why she's making such a big fuss. Oh wait - stay away from the evil trio.
It's not a trio if there's only one of them.. Right?
"You'll probably get the lead. You're an excellent actress." She says.
"Oh well thank you."

The next day after school
"Okay so I'll come when you call okay? Or send me a text. Whatever." Justine clarify's and I nod before she drives away.
I head to the theatre and walk in the main doors. I go and sit in one of the rows a few seats away from a blonde girl, when she looks around I notice the large amount of make up she has on her face.
Someone claps, making me turn my head to the stage where Miss Dunfield is standing. "For those who don't know, I'm Miss Dunfield. And hopefully you know that this is the auditions for Beauty and the Beast." She smiles and looks around. "Good. My two detentionee's are here. Just making sure they didn't bail on the last second."
