「8/7歳」

Joshua always had his eye on Tyler. Always making sure he didn't get hurt, or he didn't get sad. He usually kept his hankie and some bandaids stuffed in his pockets just in case, but he always was there to prevent it. Small hands finding Tyler's body if the cherry cheek brunet accidentally slipped, or tripped. The curly brunet kinda had a sense for these things, it came naturally for him and Tyler noticed it too.

Joshua was always there for him, so Tyler desperately always tried to be there for him in return.

The cherry cheek brunet was always there, on the receiving end for his best friend when he needed it, the crackling frequency, but soft and concerning as he spoke the younger boy.

"I miss you" was always on their lips when they were talking through most of the night, or when one of them had gotten tired from the day. And even though they probably had seen one another within hours of talking on that walkie-talkie, it was the holy truth of them.

Whenever they weren't together; body next to body, arm next to arm, hand in hand. They became anxious, bottom lip red as they continuously gnawed away, and the two lovelies desperately needed one another right then and there.

So, the walkie-talkies were quite magical for them. It was their safe haven.

"Ty-Ty," Joshua softly said, hand rubbing his eyes as he buried himself in his blanket, and his words slurring off as he spoke. "Are you h'ppy? Over."

And Tyler gasped, so heavenly pure over the contraption that Joshua's heart overthrown with jitters.

"M'happy whenever you're with me, Jishwa, which is all the time." Tyler expressed, giggling in a pitch that was so endearing, and turning on his aching back to help subside that pain. "Are you h'ppy? Ov'r."

"I'm happy, Ty-Ty, because you're always there." Joshua's breath hitches a bit, hands tingling for the small boy's delicate flesh, and he sighed. "I miss you, Ty-Ty."

And it was quiet for a moment, a small, gentle moment and right when he was going to open his mouth once again, that heavenly voice echoed in his ears.

"M'coming over."

"Ty-Ty." Joshua warned, but all he got was silence and when his agitated hands came to tightened around his sheets he heard the hurry of his parents as the door bell rang and the delicate sound of pitter-patter against the creaky, wooden boards of their house.

His door sprang open, revealing and out of breath seven-year-old with those beautiful cherry cheeks, even more so from the exposure of cold air, and those doe-eyes he came to adore.

"J-Jishwa." He breathed, "m'here."

"Ty-Ty." And Joshua's voice was shaky, slowly sitting up as the younger boy moved forward, struggling a little as he tried to get on the bed, he was quite short, and holding his white husky stuffy tightly in his hands.

"I-I brought Juniper with me." Tyler softly said, letting Joshua peal the covers for him to fit his small body next to his. "I-I thought he could help you."

But, within that moment, Joshua's arms were wrapped around the cherry cheek brunet, stuffing his face into the younger's neck and breathing in the vanilla scent he knew too well.

They cuddled, arms wrapped around bodies and Tyler's lips finding Joshua's forehead, humming oh-so-heavenly as he felt the boy holding him breathe evenly.

Joshua's arms suddenly got tighter around Tyler's waist, revealing his face from the warm neck of pure skin, and he looked into Tyler's warm eyes, the night light doing a beautiful job at illuminating the tan skin that he endeared.

"I love you, Ty-Ty."

The cherry cheek brunet smiled, pulling Joshua close again and kissing his forehead; innocent and beautiful.

"I love you too, Jishwa."

When Joshua's eyes pealed away from the sleep that was just so amazing last night, they opened to a cherry cheek brunet sleeping soundlessly in his arms. His attention was quickly on the door opening and seeing the gentle smile of his mother.

"I'm making you guys breakfast, any suggestions?" She whispered, and Joshua grinned.

"Ty-Ty really love your chocolate chip pancakes, momma."

And she giggled, nodding and parting her way from his room, leaving his door ajar.

Joshua's attention snapped back to his little love, soft eyes tracing the delicate curves of Tyler's face and gentle breath's escaping his lips. The curly brunet pressured his forehead against Tyler's, careful enough to not startle the boy awake or move. And he stared, just memorized the beauty of Tyler; long eyelashes that hit his red dusted cheeks, nose small, but adorable, lips plump and gorgeous, and right when he was getting down to more of the details, the brown orbs met his, tired but smiley.

"M'rning, Jishwa."

Tyler giggled when Joshua trailed gentle kisses across his redden cheeks and on his nose, relishing in the moment as Joshua harmonized along with him, pulling him close and tightly against their overwhelming warmth.

"G'morning, Ty-Ty."

The cherry cheek brunet stifled his laugh, eyes leading up to the older boy. "Food?"

"Momma is making your favorite, chocolate chip pancakes." Joshua expressed, kissing Tyler's forehead again, and making his little love squeak from happiness.

"D'you wanna go see or d'you wanna stay here?" The curly brunet found solace in playing with Tyler's hair, but Tyler never minded it, he never really minded anything that Joshua did.

"M'wanna stay here, Jishwa." Tyler's arms loosened, finding themselves upon Joshua's chubby cheeks, slapping them softly on them as he giggled.

Joshua groaned, but smiled nonetheless, connecting their forehead's again.

"What'd ya' wanna do today, Jishwa?" It was soft and delicate, with hesitant eyes, the beautiful gorgeous eyes that made Joshua's heart pump fast.

But, Joshua thought for a moment before suddenly brightening up. "How about we go by the creek? We can play hide 'n' seek."

Tyler gasped, nodding enthusiastically as he grinned. "Then, let's go to the creek, Jishwa."

"Boys! Your breakfast is ready!"

And in unison, they both screamed a response, giggling harshly as Joshua's voice cracked.

Serene.
