"It's okay, Ty-Ty. It's just like the pool!" Joshua cringed at his words as they came out, not able to stop them when Tyler squeezed his hand more tightly. "J-Just deeper and darker..."

"I don' wanna go, Jishwa." Tyler said hesitantly, grasping his floaty's tightly when he let go of Joshua's hand, his voice shaking, desperately stepping back against the cold sand. "Pl-Ple'se don' make me go."

The curly brunet furrowed his brows, looking at the lake again before nodding and focusing his gaze on his best friend. "The lake is stupid anyway, let's go to the little puddle by the tree, Ty-Ty! It's much more shallow and mommy can let us bring food so we can munch on!"

Tyler smiled huge, thankful for Joshua's gentle words.

"Aren't you kids gonna get in!? The waters nice!" Their fathers screamed from the lake, quickly splashed their wives as they squealed.

"C'mon boys!" Tyler's mother screamed.

Joshua shook his head, pointing to the big tree that was practically emerged in the lake. "Ty-Ty and me are gonna grab the chips and juices, and head to the puddle over there!"

"Okay!" Joshua's father screamed back, grabbing his wife by the waist, her laugh echoing in their sons ears like sweet honey. "Just be careful!"

"'Kay!" Joshua yelled, giggling as he grasped  Tyler's hand along with him to their little set up by the lake side, grabbing huge bag of Doritos, some juice boxes, and a purple towel. The curly haired brunet looked to his best friend giving him the biggest grin, who gave him a gentle giggle back.

"Ready, Ty-Ty?"

"Yes, Jishwa." Tyler smiled, gripping tightly to Joshua's hand as they made their way to the shallow area by the tree.

Joshua set down all the stuff, laying the towel against the warm sand by the water and making sure Tyler had more of the side before plopping down. Tyler laid his head on Joshua's shoulder once they got settled, the older opening the bag as he did and grabbing a small handful to give to his little love.

"Here ya' go, Ty-Ty."

"T'ank you, Jishwa." Tyler said softly, taking the chips from Joshua's hands, and watching him with happy eyes as the curly haired brunet opened the two boxes of apple juice, stabbing the straws in them and swiftly handing it to Tyler, who quickly finished his chips.

Tyler muffled out a small thank you, rubbing his cheek against Joshua's bare shoulder. Their feet were gently placed in the cold water, so close they could tangle, but Joshua was splashing lightly against the ruffling water, giggling when it splashed on his legs and Tyler's as well.

"Jishwa?" The cherry cheeked brunet softly asked after a couple minutes of silence between them.

"Ty-Ty?" Joshua softly nodded to Tyler, continue to grab into the bag of Doritos, and slowly sipping on sweet apple juice.

"What if a bear comes to our campsite?"

"Then, I'll protect you!" Joshua gasped, craning his neck slightly to look at his best friend.

"You gonna protect me? What about our mommy's and daddy's?" The cherry cheek brunet giggled, biting into his bendy straw as he kicked his feet along with Joshua.

The curly brunet boy furrowed his brows, sighing roughly as he nudged Tyler a bit. "Then, I'll protect them too."

"You're silly, Jishwa." Tyler concluded, going back to sipping on his drink before grabbing a few chips from the bag. "But I love you."

"I love you too, Ty-Ty." Joshua smiled, kissing softly against Tyler's temple making the boy giggle his heavenly giggle.

And as they continued to whisper and shout about innocent ideas, the sun beamed on their skin, glistening their angelic features. Joshua's eyes never left Tyler's, their expressions excited and squeaks so unattainable.

Yet, their world was filled with puppy-love in their reached, filled with small gestures and small whispers.

The delicate kind.

After a moment of peace by the campfire, their parents chatting happily about their day, Joshua and Tyler agreed that they wanted to head to their tent. They excused themselves politely with fragile smiles and heavenly giggles, their hands and fingers entwining in a tight grasp as Joshua unzipped the tent. Taking off their shoes that covered itself with mud as they walked, and socked feet pure white as they stepped on their silky sleeping bags.

Their camp light dimmed softly against their skin, and they were silent for a moment, changing into their pajamas and refreshing their faces with wipes that their moms had told them to do. Joshua reached high to unzip the top, showing off a net that peered for the sky, just for them to gaze into its millennium. And they settled into their covers, Tyler reaching over to shut the light, and echoes of their parents laughing softly in their ears.

Joshua was the first to turn towards Tyler, gazing against Tyler's face as the small boy gaped up to the ceiling of their tent and the sky above them. The cherry cheek brunet felt it, the look that Joshua gave him and smiled slowly, turning to Joshua with a sigh.

"Wanna get in mine?" Joshua softly asked, unzipping his bag slightly and Tyler nodded so fast, getting up from his and slipping in warmly with his best friend.

The older wrapped his arms tightly around the small boy, and Tyler hummed highly against him. They absolutely loved for these moments. Small and innocent, kind and gentle. Easy and pure. So pure that their hearts desperately desired

As the settled against one another, their breaths evening out and timed perfectly with one another, Joshua spoke with a grin adorning his face.

"Do you believe in aliens, Ty-Ty?"

Tyler gasped softly, giggling against Joshua's shirt and he nodded slightly. "Of cours' I believe in aliens, Jishwa."

"What about vampires?" Joshua stated, pulling a small accent as he did so.

Tyler nodded again, burying his face into Joshua's neck and sighing softly. "I believe in them too..."

And it was cozy and breathless, it was the high-pitched voice that claimed to be his haven. Joshua cuddled Tyler closer, the soft snore filling up his ears and he glanced at the sky, its possibilities.

The curly haired brunet opened his mouth, gentle whispers escaping it as a small smile adorned his warm cheeks.

"Goodnight, Ty-Ty."
