Valentines Day was different when you were twelve, and in seventh grade. The days of making a mail box for all the candies from the students in the class were forgotten, and if you had a crush on someone, you'd have to put more effort to show them that liking. Joshua and Tyler didn't have that problem, since they show each other that they love one another every day, and all they really had to do was exchange at the right time on the very day of love.

Joshua thought the day served no purpose, because in reality, Joshua loved to shower Tyler in kisses, and whisper sweet nothings in his little love small ear every single day he had the chance. The curly brunet found that it shouldn't be secluded to just one day to show your lover that you love them just a bit more with chocolate and roses, it was useless, he thought, because he would do that every day for Tyler if he had the money.

Tyler, on the other hand, loved Valentines Day. The cherry cheek brunet loved the idea of making chocolates for Joshua, and making them with extra sweetness and extra love. He found purpose in showing Joshua's importance to his life, and even though he did that daily, Tyler found solace in seeing Joshua's happy reaction when eat's Tyler's chocolates.

Today was no different. While his mother stood close by his side, making the chocolate with bare, clean hands, and smiling brightly as each one came out perfectly. The cherry cheek brunet decided the theme color would be a beautiful pale blue, while adorning a clear plastic bag with pink hearts displayed so wonderfully on the bag. A light pink ribbon would be tied once the chocolate were done and neatly placed inside the bag, and Tyler would be satisfied with the aesthetic it pulled for his love.

"D-Do you think Jishwa will like them?" His eyes uncertain as he stared up this smiling mother.

"Of course, he loves everything you make him." She giggled, running a hand through his chocolate curls. "He always finishes your lovely chocolates, sweetie, don't doubt yourself."

Tyler smiled, dimples indenting with purity, and making the heavens sing of his beauty. "I love him so much, mama."

Her eyes seemed to water, setting the most delicate kiss upon his head, and letting her lips linger a bit before pulling away. "I know you do, baby."

On the other side of town.

A boy stood with curly mocha hair and his mother giggling by his side. Joshua had this gorgeous pout on his flushed cheeks, eyes squinting at the two different types of roses in front of him.

"Should I just get him daisies, mama?"

She giggled once again, shaking her head at her little lover boy, and ran a gentle hand through her son's curls. "Honey, you have to get him a rose, it's Valentines Day."

Joshua budded his bottom lip out again, making a hmph noise of frustration as he crossed his arms. "But, Ty-Ty's favorite flowers are daisies."

"Hey." She grinned, getting Joshua's attention, and leveling her height to his as she crossed her arms over her knees. "Why don't we get him a red rose, and daisies for the extra space, and then when we get home, we re-bundle them together?"

The curly brunet gasped, smiling excitingly and nodding with enthusiasm. "That's a great idea, mama!"

He went home with happiness fluctuating brightly in his chest, tummy fluttering and bones tingling. Even though he thought this day was a useless day for Tyler and him, it made his little love happy, and that's all Joshua wanted in the end.
