Liza

'F'

'F' is for friends who do stuff together......

Nope, not this 'F'. This 'F' means I failed Mr.Wilson's math quiz. Well, it's not like I knew what I was doing either so I don't know why I'm surprised.

I looked over at Kyon's paper that had a huge
A+. Wow.

"Well done to all who passed, I can see you guys are in the right track," Mr.Wilson interrupted my thoughts.

For the whole class I caught myself staring at Kyon instead of sleeping like I normally would. He looked back at me but I didn't look away. I wasn't going to look away until my name was called on the intercom. Kyon shot up his eyebrow at me like I did to him before.

I walked carefully pass the serpents exiting the classroom to the principals office. When I got to the room he was seated with his hands interlocked on the table.

"Well let me get straight to the point, Ms.Parrish you're failing."

"I'm aware, I'm working on it."

"Would it hurt to at least try a little harder?"

"Would it hurt to not talk to me sometimes? I'm doing my best."

"Your best isn't good enough," he sighed and by the way he hesitated to talk I know bad news was coming next. "You will not qualify to graduate."

My eyes widened as soon as those words left his mouth. There's no way that can happen! I had some serious plans for after I graduated. Which doesn't include any thing school related.

"W-What no I can't-are you-No."

I stuttered trying to find the right words to say. I couldn't though, I was so angry and aghast at the same time.

"If you want to walk across that stage like everyone else prove to me your not wasting your time and ace the SAT's, it's the only chance you have left," He gave me a look of pity. "If you are able to do that you will be eligible to graduate like everyone else and you can even apply to a few colleges."

"I'll do what I have to do," I planned to ace the exams and graduate but college, I don't think so.

"Well let's shake on it," he stuck his hand out for me to shake and I did with no hesitation.

"You are a very sweet girl Liza, behind this act you're putting on I know the real you. I know your circumstance may cause you to act out but I just want the best for you, and every other student who steps foot into my institution. Don't you want to make your father proud?"

"I said I'll do what I have to do, I'm going back to class, " I grabbed my bag and rushed through the doors. Hearing about my father always makes me a bit emotional. I rather not have anyone try talking to me about it.

"Holy shit, you're failing? I thought you were a nerd" I laughed as I passed a fellow classmate waiting outside the office.

"Watch your mouth Liza and go back to your class."

As I began walking down the empty hall I sighed and kicked the locker out of frustration.

"How the fuck am I gonna do this?" I asked myself.

"Do what?"

I jumped at the voice behind me. I turn to see Kyon standing behind me, I definitely did not see him when I got out here. How sweet of him to eavesdrop.

"It's none of your business, " I said in the least disrespectful way. Hewas about to ignore him then a brilliant idea popped in my head. "Actually, if I tell you then you'd have to help me and since you're so curious to know I'm failing some of my classes and that means I can't graduate which is unfortunate for me because I must. You seem smart so I want you to be tutor me."
