Chapter 39

Omniscient

Standing in the hall of the hospital Kyon stared ahead at nothing in particular, his head was hurting with so much thoughts and he could even stand still for long. His father, Shellece and Hakeem were there with him but they kept quiet, they were still awaiting the arrival of Liza's "family" and Kyons other side of "family," they just hoped that they were actually coming.

Liza was in her hospital room with no one, she preferred it that way so no one really complained about it and just left the room. After some minutes in walked Cookie, Lucious, Mel, Chandra and Sheila. Cookie's eyes instantly landed on Kyon and she made her way over to him with Lucious right behind her. None of them really cared to be here, nobody even knew exactly why they were here all they knew was that Liza went into labour and it was an emergency.

"Where she at and why we here? I got places to be, deals to be making" Cookie flipped her hair.

"Now is not the time for your fucking attitude!" Shellece quipped surprising everyone, they all knew she wasn't the typed to lash out but the one that's calming down everyone else.

"Ain't nobody speaking to you" Sheila cut in.

"Can y'all not do that right now? Please stop." Hakeem spoke up, scoffing and shaking his head after.

"Okay so what was so important that you called all of us down here knowing we don't like dat girl?" Mel stepped in.

The place went quiet for sometime allowing Kyon to gather his words correctly. He really didn't know how to say it because no matter how many times he thought about it, it all still seemed so surreal to him.

"Nigga I'm bout to leave what is it man?" Mek snapped.

"I...we umm we lost the baby man" Kyon voice trembled, his eyes started to fill up with water and soon the tears began to fall. He lowered his head ignoring everyone's gasps-the loudest was Chandra's. Lucious wasted no time as he walked off and went to her room to comfort her.

"How did this happen?" Sheila suddenly became remorseful of how she behaved. Everyone did except Cookie.

"Doctor said she was stress but ion get it" he wiped his tears as he leaned on Mel's shoulders who had given him a hug "she wasn't stressed out man! I made sure a dat! I made sure she was happy-I-we" he couldn't even speak for he lost all his strength and fell to the ground crying. Sheila stooped along with Mel and hugged him while Chandra began to cry.

Cookie walked away and went into Liza's room to see Lucious holding onto her.

"I didn't know, I didn't mean to" Liza cried trying to explain to herself.

"It's okay kid" Lucious continued to hug her and kiss her forehead. As off now everyone's attitude, except Cookie's, changed towards Liza. They felt that even though they were against the whole pregnancy and all she didn't deserve to lose the baby.

"You have got to be the dumbest-"

"Cookie shut the fuck up!" Lucious voice boomed throughout the whole room, it was so loud those in the hall heard. Everyone quickly rushed into to the room to see what was taking place.

"Cookie she definitely doesn't need any negativity around her so if you could just leave-" Jermaine stated but she cut him off.

"I ain't going nowhere"

"Just leave." Shellece kindly said.
